So what's the "bubble"? When it pulls back, does it balloon out? (I've seen intact penises, but only on small boys, infants & toddlers, and I've never seen them retracted. My husband is not intact....)

The "bubble" is the glans. It would look like a round ball or bubble to a child that age.

I'll tell you the story of my now-26-year-old brother when he was a toddler... maybe 3 (?). He came in the kitchen and my mom was there and so was I and he had his penis pulled out of diaper and with his foreskin retracted stated: "Look, mom, gum!" I'm 5 years older than him and remember that day clearly, but he thinks I'm just making it up!

Bubble...LOL Kids are a hoot!

I noticed DS was fully retracted while taking a bath a week or so ago (31 months old).

Was kind of curious what the average age is. None of my friends who have boys left them intact, so I don't have anyone IRL to talk to about this subject. They all look at me like I've lost my mind.

A friend who had a baby a few months back said "I'm glad I had a girl so I didn't have to think about it." My response was a very basic and simple "Who am I to tamper with God's handiwork?" (No response from her)

My ds had been retractable for a month when his four year old sister realized it. She ran upstairs and was telling me that he had folded his penis and there was "something in there" She was quite incredulous

The next morning they were in the other room while i was in the living room nursing the baby. She was telling him, "come on, fold up your penis"

Later, we had a good talk about private parts and not telling other people what to do with theirs
