Hematocrit is 30.3--I am eligible for the birth center!

I just got home from an EXHAUSTING morning of errands with DS, wanting nothing more than to turn on my a/c and put my poor, swollen feet up. There was a message waiting, and it was my CBC lab results, and...

MY HEMATOCRIT IS ABOVE 30!
At a whopping 30.3, I am now eligible to have my baby at the birth center instead of the hospital.

I burst into tears when I heard the message, then had to spend about 20 minutes convincing DS that I was happy, not sad, and that everything was okay.

I need to keep that number up, but I don't think they actually test me again, though I'll need to confirm that at my next appt.

I 100% give the credit to the acupuncture. When I was just taking iron supplements, herbs (yellow dock) and homeopathy, I was 28.something.

Yeah Willo!!!!!! I am so happy for you.

I think we have the same hematocrit. Maybe I should get my acupuncturist to work on my anemia too.

Keep up the good work!

Absolutely try the acupuncture if you haven't yet and iron is an issue for you.

Even though I'd been seeing an acupuncturist off and on for a year for other issues, it took someone HERE mentioning acupuncture for blood building before I thought to bring it up with my own practitioner!

My highest levels (of hematocrit) during my first pg were 29.7, so I do think this is the big difference for me.
