Do you have an Oral-B and/or a Sonicare? Which do you like better? Are they worth the money?

I have a Sonicare. I love it. However, I got it free. I would NEVER paid what they ask for it. I'm WAY too cheap.

thanks. Anyone else?

We have the Oral B. The Sonicare (my mom had one) is much louder. Our Oral B lasted about 2 years, then died. So we got another one.

Why pay $80 for a 2-year toothbrush? After years and years of dental hygienists complaining about how I take care of my teeth, the complaints suddenly stopped. Now they say "you have good home care". No, just a good toothbrush. :

I've had both, I like the oral b better.

I've used the same Oral-B for almost 5 years, and I love it.

we got our sonicare set at costco three years ago, it's still going strong and our ds uses it to brush too. i feel like even if he gets the brush in there for a few seconds it's worlds better than a regular toothbrush. i have no experience with the oral b so no advice there.

My dentist sold me the sonicare 9500 at cost. Took some getting used to, but it really gets your teeth clean. Too hard to use for my little ones- these toothbrushes really vibrate!

Bumping this thread. I would like to get toothbrushes for my boys (almost 7 and 4) and myself and DH. I'm trying to decide which brush.

I think I remember when I checked at the store that Sonicare was made n China while the Oral B (Braun) was made in Germany. If you have these toothbrushes can you tell where they were made?

I have the Crest Spinbrush Pro. I think it was like $8 from target or something. I really really like it. My brother has one of those really expensive ones (I think it was like $150 from costco? I think it's the Oral B one) and I've tried it out....I like my $8 one better. The expensive one felt like my mouth was full of bees and it was very rough on my gums.

I know that Crest Spinbrush is made in China.

We've had our Sonicare for years and it is still working fine. I'm not really sure when we got it but I'm thinking over 5 years ago?? I use it sporadically though, not every day. Maybe that's why it's lasted so long!

We have another Sonicare for our older kids and I use it on our 3 yo but I would like to find something he can manage himself. The Sonicare is too heavy plus I envision him walking around with it spraying toothpaste everywhere! I hate buying the kids Spiderman, etc. power toothbrushes for him because you can't replace the heads and have to toss the whole thing. Has anyone ever tried the Oral-B vitality? It has a small head that can be replaced. http://www.drugstore.com/products/pr...52&catid=22131

My dh has the Oral B Vitality and he likes it. It's not terribly noisy or heavy. I think it would be just fine for little mouths. And it's cheap.

peace, Beth
