i am sure this mentioned already in the forum, but if you could let me know what material wet bags are made out of that would be cool...and do you know how to make one? i am trying to be as cheap as possible with this CDering
thanks
I just made one for my diaper bag yesterday. I made it out of PUL with a cotton print on the outside. I used a zipper, and just sewed it together in a rectangle 13x15" (this seems to be a size people like from what I can tell). If you don't sew the PUL to the cotton at all, you shouldn't have trouble with wicking. (Sew a bag inside a bag basically). There are websites with directions, but I made up my own.
From what I've hear you can you fleece or wool, but you can have compression wicking. I wouldn't see that you would have too much trouble with that, though. It seems like as long as your diapers aren't soaking wet it wouldn't be a big deal. I've never tried it, though. I think I've seen knitted wet bag patterns online, so people must do it.
Wow this is so foreign to me….i never have sewed anything before…could I do it by hand since I don’t have a sewing machine or will this not work?
Yeah, you can sew by hand (it just takes longer). I think the easiest thing you could do is to sew a fleece or wool and sew it in a rectangle. Leave the top open (of course) and then sew down that edge almost all the way around to form a little pocket for a drawstring.
