I hope it's okay to pick your brains in this forum. I thought it'd be fun
I'm putting together a chili feed for my MIL's retirement party. She's been teaching in the elementary schools for 30 years and now she's going to retire and hang out with her retired architect husband and roam around in their RV. They call it camping, I call it fancy camping, lol.
I want to label the chili and the condiments with teacher and camping themes. She has a really good sense of humor. Some will be called these and some I'll call it what it is and the write a description below - I'll list what I have and what I've named so far.
Hot Chili -
Chili with Sausage = "Filled with Mrs. Teacher's least favorite students."
Vege Chili - "NO! Mystery Meat"
Cornbread -
Fritos -
CONDIMENTS
sour cream -
green onions - "Gathered from outside the RV" (something more lyrical??)
shredded cheese - "Shredded WASL (standardized test in our state) Tests"
corn and red peppers "Crushed Confiscated Toys"
salsa -
cashews -
guacamole - (I'd like something like Mrs. Teacher's brain after scoring spelling tests, but not so gross sounding)
Veggie Platter - "Pencils, Pens and Erasers"
