I think the title says it all. I would like to make my own baby wipes. Any suggestions? Kamie

Personally, we have a bunch of those gerber-like baby washcloths and also two-layer flannel washcloths that I made (two 8 inch squares sewn around the edges or serged; nothing fancy). I don't use a solution or wipe warmer. We just run them under the faucet when we need one. Simple, cheap, and gets the job done.

I made my own wipes by cutting up some cotton flannel receiving blankets and hooded terry baby bath towels that were no longer being used. I didn't bother sewing the edges (mainly because I hand sew and it would have taken forever). I keep them in a plastic disposable wipes container and for a wipes solution I've used witch hazel mixed with a small squirt of baby shampoo. Works great!

wipes are super easy...i just made about 2 dozen of them tonight in an hour, and that was even turned and topstitched because my zig zag stitch was all wonky. I just wet them under warm water when i need them.
fleece doesnt work too well for wipes, it kind of just smears the poo around, but flannel, cotton, or velour work well. All you have to do is cut one or two layers, and zig zag around the edges (or serge if you have a serger.)

Can you all share some of your wipes solution ideas? I was using the lansionah brand wipes and I loved the lanolin in them. Does anyone know of a wipes solution that has lanolin in it? Thanks Kamie

I use decorative flannel on one side, and organic hemp terry on the other. I just use water, but that solution looks intriguing.
