Liz I know how that feels. I have just found out another two friends are expecting #2, one of whom has a DS who is 7mths old and though she wanted to ttc #2 again soon, she's freaking out about it. I know I am terrible, but sometimes I really want to tell her to shut up because if she wasn't ready to be pg straight away or have a baby 9 mths from now, she should use BC!
Mama, I am sorry your birth experience was not the one you planned, and I really hope this time around you get the birth you hope for, and that BFing goes great this time.
My EDD was May 2nd
and things were not great to begin with, either, but I think I was ignorant with a lot of it. He was very very sleepy, didn't want to nurse or nurse well, very jaundiced (which I didn't realize as we were released the next day) and was still not back to his birthweight (he was big - 7lbs 5oz) at 2 weeks 4 days)
- He finally came around and was starting to nurse well by then, but had I taken him to the doctor earlier I know I would have wound up supplementing.

<snip>I totally know what you all mean about pregnancy around you. I just found out last week that a friend of ours is PG with #2, and she is almost 7 months already! They didn't make an announcement because it was a surprise and they weren't too thrilled at first. Their happy now, but it was kind of hard to hear about someone not wanting a baby when that is all I want! Argh!

DS was a 35w5d baby, due on May 4th.
I was planning a UC but ended up with pre-e, so I'm really excited to do things better this time around and hopefully have the birth I want. SOO many things went wrong with DS (I never even got to exclusively BF him as my milk never fully came in) so I'm really looking forward to #2 for healing in a lot of areas. |

Hugs all around mamas. Sorry for everyone dealing with o issues, weaning issues, and issues with others being pregnant.
Darci

: Here is some blue dust for you! I could really use some pink. I am hoping to have a girl this time. I know that once I finally get pg, it will be my last. We are getting so old! I would really like to have a little girl. I keep *joking* to dh that he better hope we have a girl because if we don't we will have to adopt one! I am really serious about it.
StephC
for looking at my chart. I am still
: for those high temps in the am.Liz Our kiddo's have the same bday. We are having ds's party tomorrow with some of his little buddies. I spent the evening making a vegan, sugar free carrot cake to serve!
(with his *help*, he was so cute, he just loves to help out in the kitchen.) We will see if people like it. I hope it turned out. Anyways, happy bday to your dd and have fun with your celebration.Linzie When are you going to poas? I am thinking of poas on June 7, one week from today. That is dh's bday and i figured that would be a great bday surprise for him. Although I can already hear those sticks calling me from the closet.....................
Well, I am off to

and get my house presentable for tomorrow.

Temp was up this am!!!!!!! Not what I'd call a spike, but if it is up further again tomorrow I'd say there is a chance I O'd
. I'm pretty new at this, though, and my temps aren't super reliable yet (not at same time because of the morning nursing issue and not waking at the same time). Here's my chart http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1a70e2

Elaina- Great! I'll send you all this three-girls'-worth of PINK baby dust in exchange for all the blue you can muster. It's too late now for me to actually DO anything to make any difference, so I'm relying on prayers and borrowed baby dust. HA!
In reference to HPTs calling you to come and pee on them... I've got several coming in the mail today or tomorrow. Yikes! I'm only 3 dpo and I've got ZERO willpower when it comes to those things. I'm shooting for 9 dpo as the absolutely earliest. Six more days, six more days...

I am hoping for a March baby, but antother April or even May would be okay. I am crazy..#4...

surromommy - I want to apologize if I came off wrong in my earlier post. I'm not communicating well with all this pressure in my head from the
: . I just want to support and encourage, and I hope that I can do that for you.Now for the definite change - I've been posting here for around 8-9 months at least. TTC for 10 months. Many if not all of the mamas that are familiar with me have graduated to DDC. I'm kind of feeling out-of-sync here right now. I feel almost as if I'd have to reintroduce myself. Also, I'm finding myself spending too much time obsessing about things and making this my center to the neglect of things that should have more of my focus. So, that said I'm going to bow out for a while. I'm still going to TTC my heart out.
I'm also going to check in from time to time to see the Sucess Stories and give my congrats. I'll let you know as well if I conceive so I can be added to the successes. If any of you feel there may be a question I can answer for you, feel free to PM me. I'm pretty well versed on vitex, nightweaning, so/so on charting, and would be very willing to help. For those of you who have been around a little while surromommy and esmlrach... thanks for supporting me and I so very much wish you all the best. You are all in my prayers as this journey requires a little support from above.
Thanks again.- Bella Catalina

no need to remove me
Bella Catalina - There's no need to remove me from the list. I've been posting here so long... I do want my name added when the time comes with all the other successes.I'll just be lurking instead of posting daily and obsessing way too much. It just really has been a long time - mid-June will make 11 months TTC, and I need to do something different. Again... thanks.

Hello everyone. I'm not new to the MDC forum, but am new to TTC. I'm a nursing mama to a wonderful 23 month old. Want to start trying for #2. Twice I've had a day of light spotting, but not a real AF. How do I know if I'm ovulating?
Also, can anyone fill me in on the abbreviations? PPAF? 2ww? BD? OPKI? CD#? POAS?
Can anyone send me some helpful hints for TTC while nursing? I'm an older mama so my clock is ticking.......
Thanks!

PPAF = post-partum Aunt Flo, or your first post-partum period
2ww = the two week wait between ovulation and finding out if you're pregnant
BD = baby dance = sex
OPKI = something about an ovulation predictor kit
CD# = the day that you are in your cycle, with CD1 being the day you get your period
POAS = pee on a stick, or a pregnancy test
Welcome!

Brooke - thanks for taking a look, glad to hear you think it looks promising too
Eastkygal - good for you for making a change if that is what you need. Hugs. I look forward to your BFP announcement, sooner rather than later!
Welcome to the new mamas! I am pretty new myself but am already starting to feel at home.
mmmmmm . . .. vegan carrot cake. yummm.

Hi everyone,
When I found the thread up for June, I thought I'd include a new update. I'm hoping to become a June success story!! I am only 9dpo, but am starting to have symptoms similar to what I had with my first: Breast tenderness and funny uterine twinges every now and then.
However, with my son's pregnancy, I was of course not breastfeeding. The tenderness I felt then was clearly something out of the norm. This time, in the last two days, I have felt something, but I am not sure if I might just be imagining things or not. Other nursing mamas who have nursed while pregnant: did you have clear, discernable breast tenderness when you were first pregnant while nursing another?
I can't wait to see what the next few days brings!
Thanks!

Christina,
Your links in your siggie don't work (they have extra stuff). I deleted some of the stuff when I clicked and I did see the pics of your kids. OMG they are so cute. What awesome pictures. I love the one of your son with the coconut breasts.
