Yikes!!

I haven't actually tried any of these suggestions, but I've got a few thoughts that might work:

1) Dawn dishsoap is great at lifting out oil - if you spot cleaned your baby a bit, it might work

2) Oxy-Clean. It's recommended by a few needlework experts for cleaning pieces.

3) Orvus. This is actually horse cleaner - but you can buy it in needlework and quilting stores and it's highly recommended for cleaning hand done pieces.

I'm sure some other moms will also have some good thoughts, backed up by real life experience!! Good luck!!

Sorry, no ideas here- oil is a hard one.
These sound like good sugestions, though. Hope you get it fixed. Either way, I'm sure your child won't care or even notice.

I made a mild solution of oxyclean to get lip-gloss off of DD's doll (it was cute, if alarming, to see my little one, with my lipgloss smeared across her lips, cuddle and kiss her Molly dolly . . . luckily, the oxyclean got it out!)
