What is this sewing machine worth?

Does anyone have any idea what a used Singer model #5525 is worth? My mother gave this to me and I do not sew at all, so I was thinking of selling it in a garage sale but have no idea what to ask for it. I know it is at least 10-15 years old but it works fine and has all the parts and manual - any idea what I should ask? Thanks!

you might be able to look through ebay's closed auctions to see what it has sold for


otherwise a sewing machine dealer has a "blue book" on values and are often willing to look it up for you

you may want to have the machien with you when you ask. i have a singer and its model number was made specifically for a string of stores so we couldnt find the number in the book and had to look it up by comparable features
