Possible to shave face with just olive oil?

Quite frankly, everything breaks me out.

I've had good luck with washing with honey (which I learned from another thread), but I can't shave with honey.

Would olive oil be okay to shave with?

Or if anyone recommend something else I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

You can shave with Olive oil but..I don't think if it would be good for shaving the face. Are you a man or a woman? I am asking because men and women have different types of hair on their face. My dp's facial hair is very thick and I think OO would tear his face up.

If is is just for fine hair along the lipline then OO might be ok.

IMO, you need more "slip" than OO would provide for male facial hair.

Bentonite clay is what gives the "slip" in many natural shaving products and shaving soaps. You can usually find bentonite clay at HFS

Does just plain ordinary lye soap with out any additives bother your skin? I am trying to get an idea of the issues you are having.

Are you using *anything* on your face other than honey at the moment?

Hm...thinking.

What might work for male facial hair, is Olive Oil, Castor oil, bentonite clay, and a little honey. Heat and mix well with a wisk.
