dingoes running in the sun - Page 2

Just subbed and not much else to say. 2BB, you are in my thoughts/prayers.

Debating whether to try to get Nevie to snooze before library story hour. She is happily playing with books right now, so... I'm just not feeling it.

Ugh. Red wine after masters swimming gives Megan a wee little morning headache. Darn darn double darn.

2bb's, I will go read your blog.

1jooj, Sorry to be delinquent...I'm not forgetting...

I'm subbing! I've been lurking long enough...

I'm not running at the moment(I'm 31 weeks pregnant) but still walk, swim and do TwaeKwonDoe(in a limited capacity). I can't wait to run again!

I'll walk around the lake with my dog tonight- it's about 6.5 miles.

2bbs - Congratulations on getting to where you are. You are so strong and sure. I have no doubts that you will be okay. Even though I know you'll have difficult times ahead helping your children adjusting to the new reality I can tell from your words and tone that it will all be easier because it is such the right way to go. May the hardest part be behind you already!

2BB

I have a busy weekend. I didn't run yesterday because it was raining, my period had started (what's up with the 21 day cycle?!: ) and I was tired.

Today, I have a lot on my plate with my neighbor coming over with her newborn (Guys, I'm actually making a new friend!!!), a party for my kindergartener at school, errands to run for her dance recital on Sunday, and the house to clean before my inlaws get here, and hoping to get to a LLL meeting today.

I'm hoping to get a run in Saturday or Sunday morning. But, inlaws are here, and we've got the recital rehearsal on Saturday, the actual recital on Sunday, so it's busy, busy, busy. But, I have my fingers crossed.

2bbs this-----> <----- is all the dingos surrounding you and holding you up when you need us. You are one awesome woman.

geo: I too am wondering if the door thing is the final straw. Sounds like maybe time to begin working from home.

oops posted to the wrong thread
Kristin's Officially Announced Goal for the Month of June:

run the Midnight Sun Race she missed last year due to an unscheduled trip to see sister in Detroit. 5km I believe.

editing to add:
My new nanny/sitter freaking ROCKS! As in totally, without a doubt is a good fit for my family. Too bad she's returning to school at UW Madison in the fall (Schatz, ND -- I'd pass along her name/number in a heartbeat).

y'all, it is ~4 hrs since the preschool program ended this morning and I am sitting here with "McDonalds, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut" stuck in my head. The funny thing is that that song was not even taught to EK's class - it was another class who sang it, but she evidently picked up on it during the one rehearsal they all had together on Wed. And Geo, yes, I sing the ABC song when alphabetizing...

Thinking of you 2bbs.

Welcome momazon!

Hey Mamas,

Can I join you? I'm finishing up week 9 of the awesome couch-2-5k plan today. I'm doing 3 miles in about 30 minutes. I'm still in a bit of shock that I can actually run 3 miles. Bec, thanks again for starting the couch5k thread, it was totally the motiviation for me doing this.

2bb's, you are in my thoughts.

I ran six miles yesterday in 57:04, a new pr for me! I am slowly getter faster!

Things are rough here. Zoe is spending a few days with mil so that dh and I can try to work some things out, I'm not sure that he is willing to even consider my needs at this point. I am in the process of looking for a counselor, for me at the very least.

No running planned for today, but hopefully a longer run for tomorrow.

kerc, glad to hear that your nanny is a good fit!

That is incrementally worse than "going on a trip in our favorite rocket ship, zooming through the sky - Little Einstein!" which seems to get in my head EVERY DAY!!

Hi momazon and ohmel!!

missbliss, I have been meaning to say you are in my thoughts, too, mama. I am sorry you are having to go through this amd so sorry to hear he is not being considerate of your needs. Does MIL know what's going on? Do you have family support? Definitely do find a counselor, and please feel like you can lean on us here anytime.

Congratulations!!

2bbs. I will be and have been thinking of you.

JayGee ~ So, you're aiming to place in the top three of your age group in your upcoming tri? That'd be awesome!!

RR ~ Did some weights this morning and a spinning class. I had to leave the spinning class a little early so dh could get to work early this morning. So, I think I may try to run on the TM later tonight after dc go to bed. Dh is going out of town tonight for a fishing trip, so it'll be a perfect time to run on the TM. Although, the temptation of renting a movie to watch by myself on the couch sounds equally nice.

Speaking of movies ~ Dh and I have been TV free for a week. We've decided we'll watch a movie if we're interested or turn on the TV while running on the TM, but no more watching TV just to watch it. I have to say that it has been wonderful not watching the TV!! I have been so much more productive in the evenings. As a result, I am much more present for dc during the day, rather than trying to fit in cleaning/chores here and there all day. Plus, I'm reading again!!

This morning dd went with MIL to the zoo and ds and I went to the local indoor rock-climbing place. He and I had a great time!! It was an amazing exercise for ds in overcoming fears. He did amazing. He is quite proud of himself ~ as he should be, he started off very hesitant and unsure. By the end of the morning, he was climbing from one side of the wall to the other, up and down. The developmental change he's gone through this past year (he's now 7) has been mind-boggling.

HBM, I am sorry to say, PoC3 is not as exciting as 1 and 2, but of course Johnny is still worth looking at. : Unfortunately, he seems to not be in as much as one would like! :

After lunch I was going to prep many of the veggies I bought this morning and was dragging, so prepared an espresso. Then I thought, why don't I lay down for a rest instead, since I can. So I did. It is too freakin hot to go for a run now, but I can manage the bike, so I am now heading out for a ~7 mile ride. Catch you all later!
Moonshine-Should I wait for the DVD? Are there any good movies out right now? Have a nice ride.
Phew.... summer has arrived in Illinois. Humid and 91 degrees. I did a 16 mile ride/3 mile run brick though. It felt like HELL, especially since I did it with my coach who is an Ironman triathlete and her "easy" pace is my "really, really pushing it" pace. I did manage the 3 miles in about 26.5 minutes, mostly because I was trying desperately to keep up with her "jog". Urgh.

2BB I'm thinking about you this week. I read your blog. You sound like you're in a good place, even though the situation is emotionally very draining .

trimomma ~ WTG on the tv-free! If I could talk DH out of NFL season, we'd get rid of our TVs too. But, that'll happen when hell freezes over. And as for finishing in the top 3, I'll be lucky to finish, period, if the weather remians this hot and humid.

DH and I are going out to dinner tonight too. Qdoba mexican grill and then nextdoor for some ColdStone!
