dingoes running in the sun - Page 18

JayGee.... I was one of the first people diagnosed with Lyme in this region. I'd had it for three years and was stage 3, the final stage. I still suffer the effects and always will. It's in my brain stem and spinal fluid. Now they catch it early and you're on antibiotics for a week or two and it's totally gone. I had to go through IV antibiotics for many weeks.
Be your own advocate. You have to be.
I'm happy to talk if you have any questions

OH I just talked to Rick and I should have an offer end of next week!!!!

And we're meeting with my mother and Merrill tonight to talk everything out...and she asked if she can pick Libby up from daycare tomorrow and do something. It seemed sincere in the email, but we'll see!

: And I wanted to send some support and . You are a strong woman, and are doing the best thing for your child and husband (even if he can't see it right now). I hope he gets and stays sober for his own sake and for the sake of his family.

I came to check in on the house buying! That is a very cute house! I hope your offer gets accepted. And kudos to you for doing this on your own!!! I become a nervous wreck about things like this, and really need my DH to hold my hand!

Oh man! That's sounds awful. The pain is more manageable this afternoon. I'd go to urgent care, but DH is out of town until tonight and I have no one to watch the children. I'm definitely going tomorrow morning though. Needless to say, no RR for me today.

Reb - Good luck with your mom! Since you're on prednisone you can always outcrazy her if the going gets rough! I hope she's on her best new and improved behavior though!

JayGee- Hope you get in tomorrow somewhere! How frustrating. Will be thinking of you!

Jenlove- How exciting! New houses are stressful but fun. I bought my last one all on my own. Admittedly it was exhilarating. Looks cute, a great start for you all!

cReb- Good luck with the mom thing. And congrats on finally getting some progress on the job front. So exciting!

MissBliss- Hold strong! I'll PM you later...

Things are rocky here. But I have an evening with a friend planned. She's moving to a new house this weekend and I agreed to help pack. It's the most amount of time I've had with her months. And I need it. Tomorrow a quick run before a church dinner. Keep me in your thoughts mamas. It's going to be a rough weekend I think.

JayGee...keep us posted.

I had problems with earrings too! I quit wearing them for a year and then got them pierced again with dd. OMG..it hurt pretty bad! I had them done in September. I still wear studs all day and night. So far no problems this time.

JenLove...very cute house!

I have to give running some credit this year. Even though I have my good weeks and bad with how often I get out there and run. I still get out there and do more than I ever think I can and I love it. On top of that I'm reaching way out of my comfort zone in other areas of my life too.
Today I had another meeting at the school and wow..I just stood up for my beliefs about education and what I expect. It was pretty intense, she tried her best to divert me but I wasn't going anywhere, but well worth the effort! Now I'm ready to head for a good run!

Missbliss...hugs.

SallyZ..baby??

2bb's..hugs.

MegsBK..do post a pic of that chair!

On cooking club. I think it would be easy to get something organized. Pretty much we take turns hosting. The host picks the theme (I did cajun one time) and provides the main course and one round of cocktails. Then everyone else brings a dish that theoretically fits the theme. Last night was shish kabob mania...and I brought chocolate chip cookies . And that's it.

I so love the idea of a cooking club, and will be talking to my friends. Thanks for the idea!:

Ugh aguacates...oops I misspelled it the first time.

Chocolate chip cookies are a completely reasonable addition to shish kabob night!

2BBs - sending strength in the face of adversity vibes

Ugh. Child messed with keyboard and dumped my post. I'll just write important stuff, then...

2BB -- I am so glad you have a friend to spend time with this weekend. Lean, lean, lean! Keep talking to us. You're strong & wonderful!

JayGee -- get better! Yikes.

No workout today. We escaped to my parents and enjoyed the quiet for a while (until the carpet cleaners showed up there...!). At least some good forward progress has happened on our bathroom today.

My grandpa was (or most likely will be) released from the hospital today. He & Grandma are going to stay in Seattle for a few more days just to make sure the meds are controlling the arryhthmia before they head back home (Waikaloa, HI).

This is the chair I ordered for Nevie (in orange). It was a bit of a splurge, but I think it will grow with her for a good long while. I like to think she might read some of my own favorite girlhood books in it!

hi y'all!

2bbs, sending you peaceful vibes this weekend and i hope it was really wonderful and relaxing to see your friend.

I got in a run this morning and it was pleasantly cool, in the 60s for a change, and was a great run. I tried to do fartleks but they were sort of lame...oh well, felt good to push myself if even a bit.

and I needed a run because dd was HORRID all day long, and then at dinner she asked for some "real" milk and I discovered that dh had given her some the night before and then at breakfast! I was SO very angry...I tried to take deep breaths and it worked somewhat because I didn't yell at him "WHAT THE F@#$ were you thinking???" I just said, you know, she has issues, and she STILL has issues, so let's not try that again, okay? til maybe high school. or not even then. I think by her reaction today it maybe put the fear of God in him. We usually don't even have it in the house but we had some bc of my cousin's visit and he thought he'd "try" it. oh don't let me get started again........

anyway. hoping for another run tomorrow morning. ds is talking in his bed so need to go see if he will actually be going to sleep sometime.

No running here today. I did lift some free weights at home and do sit-ups, though. I saw a picture of me taken a few weeks ago in a bathing suit. My back looks like... *gasp* my mother's!!! Not much definition going on. I guess since I can't see my back on a daily basis looking in the mirror, I didn't worry about it much... until now!!

JayGee ~ I hope you get some answers tomorrow morning at the Urgent Care.

2bbs ~ thinking of you and your little ones

Welcome aquacates!! You'll love it here.

Plady ~ those pictures of your trip are amazing. Some of them look like post cards. I gasped a few times while looking at them. I want to move with you. I can see why you guys are so excited about your move there. And you saw bears?!?! You're absolutely beautiful ~ and your daughter looks so much like you.

Megs ~ That chair is so cute!! I love the orange and purple ~ it has a lot of umph!!

Runningmommy ~ Congrats on the black toenail!! Yoohoo! One of my big toenails turned black last summer and I was never so proud to be walking around in flip-flops!!

Going running in the morning. Which means I need to be in bed right. now.

jaygee - hope you get answers soon!

megs - glad your grandfather is out

Just ordered E a bar that attaches his bike to the back of ours, so we can attach him when we'll be near roads. Til then, he's relegated to the Burley. Gotta run make pizza for the fam...

Welcome, aguacates!

mamabeth, WTG on not totally screaming at DH like I probably would have :

I just got back from another run. 2.1 miles with DD in the jogger - she really wanted to go and even though it was bathtime, who can resist that?

And, I have some really wonderful news. My Aunt Rexie had a bone marrow biopsy on Friday. She went back today to get the results... her bone marrow is totally free of cancer. Her bloodwork was good and the doc even described her cancer as "not in remission, but not spreading like wildfire." She goes back next Wed. for a PET scan. As if all this was not good enough, she found out that she is still eligible for the clinical trial they have chosen for her. She will sign the papers within a week. I've been doing a lot of research on the available trials for her condition, and from what I can tell this is the most promising of the ones she could qualify for. She called me on the drive home and I haven't heard her sound so happy in months. I'm pretty happy tonight too - I feel like my heart is going to burst and that my prayers have been answered.
