Are you a TN native?

Have you ever visited The Farm? Did you consider giving birth there?

Nope! I'm from the West coast. Most of my life was spent in California, Alaska and Washington State. I've also lived in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Moving to Oak Ridge was my 50th (and hopefully last) move!

I haven't visited the farm. I think it's 5 or six hours west of here. Had I of been carrying multiples or a breech babe I would have definately considered birthing there, but we felt extremely lucky to have such an awesome and experienced midwife so close by and our ultimate desire was not to travel anywhere for the birth.

How did you come up with Ulysses' name? Any special story behind it?

What does your username mean?

Have you ever traveled to a foreign country? Which one(s)?

My husband sprung it on me while I was still under the influence of anesthesia... Hehe, just kidding. It was his idea though. He loves Homer's Odyssey and thought Ulysses is an admirable character. I agreed because I knew it would annoy my mother-in-law

What does your username mean?

I love the word "marvelous" and everytime I try to use it as a username for something it's been taken so I made up my own version that was so badly mispelled no other single person would have thought it up. I love having the nickname "Marv". Hee hee.

Have you ever traveled to a foreign country? Which one(s)?

The closest thing to foreign I've ever been was Canada, which if you live in California is pretty darn foreign since the people there are so gosh-darn polite that you feel like they're speaking another language. If I ever get over my fear of flying and fear of open water I hope someday to go Mediterreanean.

Have you gone out much with the new baby?
Are you all adjusted to having him?
Has he peed on you during a diaper change yet?

Congrats on your baby! I love how you decided on the name

Wow! 50 moves: What have been the best places? The worst places?

Have you gone out much with the new baby?

We go for walks around my neighborhood and I've taken him to a local outdoor plant nursery. He sleeps through everything I won't be taking him to stores and restaurants for another few weeks.

Are you all adjusted to having him?

Not really. Everytime we get a routine down it seems like something new crops up. Guess that's how it goes with babies though, eh? Right now we're dealing with breastmilk issues. I'm doing the elimination diet to try and figure out what's causing his fussing, gas and excessive spit up.

Has he peed on you during a diaper change yet?

Every time!

Besides where I am now, I loved living in Chico, California--until I grew out of it (college town). I still consider that to be my hometown. THE worst place I've ever had to live was a little town in Cali called Los Banos. It was the armpit of sh*tholes .

When we lived in the San Fran Bay area, we were told that Sacramento was the armpit of California. But I just got a great visual of Los Banos

Don't you hate cleaning seedy breastmilk poo off of baby balls?

People often tell me that Canadians are so polite ... and I agree : I take it as a compliment when I hear it
