So here is the short version. I will write my birth story eventually!
I had my membranes stripped on friday-39 wk. My BP was creeping up and I was trying to avoid induction. We went for a short hike that night. I had a few irregular BH type contractions. Woke up at 6:30 with some leaking fluid!! Tried to stay occupied all morning. Went to the park to walk to see if we could get things moving. I took Senencia Aureus-life root and drank my super concentrated RRL tea. When we got home at about 12:30 still nothing was happening. So I bounced on the birth ball and did 5-10 minutes of nipple stim. Got in the shower and had my first real contraction at about 1:15. The next one I had to get on the floor of the shower. They came every 5-6 minutes right from the start. Called the doula at about 2. She came at about 2:30. She suggested we go to the hospital. Get there at about 3 or 3:15. They put me on the monitor for 20 minutes and checked my cervix. I was 8/90/0. After the monitor I got in the tub. labored for a little while. Started pushing at around 4:45-I'm guessing. Delivered in the water at 5:13!!
So about 4 hours of hard active labor and I got my water birth!!
