: Ds1 will be going to a public Montessori Children's House this fall! :I am so excited! He was on the wait list, but now he's in. We are not in the district, so I am very happy he was able to get in this year. He will technically be a 4 year-old, since his birthday is before the Dec 1st cut-off, but right now I'm planning on 3 years in the Children's house before he moves up to elementary. The school goes up to 6th grade, but the district actually has a jr high and high school Montessori as well, so that will be an option when he gets to that point.
I've observed at the school and dh and I went to a Journey & Discovery where we got to meet all the teachers and try out all the materials. We fell in love with Montessori and with this particular school. The teachers were all great, and there is a really devoted PTA. After observing there, we ended up discovering several people we know who have sent their kids there, and they all love it.
Anyway, I just had to come share the news with those I knew would understand! Thank you so much to everyone for answering my questions as I was investigating schools this fall!
