Owen Thomas arrived May 29 at 1:53am at a nice healthy 6 lb. 15.5 oz. Not at all the natural birth I had hoped for but after 30 hours of labor, including 6 hours of hard labor for 2 cm, and Owen's heartbeat dropping, I'm not complaining. Ended up with a c-section and the two of us on antibiotics for 48 hours but both of us are healthy and home now. What a week. For now, nursing and more nursing to practice. We've got the hang of the right breast but the left is still recovering from some tough oopses. We'll work it out.

I see we had a bunch of babies while I was gone, can't wait to read about them all when I'm a little more together.

Wonderful news - congratulations!!!! Hope you're recovering well from your C & that breastfeeding continues on the upswing! Good luck to you both - beautiful boy!

What a gorgeous little guy - glad you are both happy & healthy. Chin up on the breastfeeding - even me an 'old' pro is terrified at the prospect of starting that one up again!

Hope you recover well - always remember a happy healthy mom & babe are by far the best outcomes.

Wow! Sounds like we had the same labor/delivery and looks like we had the same child! They look really alike!
