nak I really want to eat in a more NT way. I know basically its just simple foods, no artificial ingredients. We already eat mostly like that, but I am still having some trouble doing the groceries. I feel that I should be able to buy whole grains, raw milk, meat/chicken/turkey, and fresh fruits and veggies. Somehow though I ALWAYS come home with some sort of convinience food, even though it's healthy, I know it's not all that great, plus it's more expensive. So here is my question, what do you buy at the gorcery store? What is typically in your pantry? What items do you make? Yogurt, cheese, butter? Whats a good website for recepies? I'd love to get the NT book, but I need something free for now! What is a typical day of meals? Weekly? I feel like if I buy just plain ingredients and have to make everything from scratch, I'll spend SOOOO much time cooking and get discouraged. I am planning to clean the pantry this weekend, so help me stock it in a better fashion! THanks!!!

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I can't answer all your questions, but I would recommend starting this process slowly. Find one new item to add to your foods and work it into your routine. Homemade yogurt is possibly a good start. Or soaking oatmeal if you eat it for breakfasts at all. Once you master one change, move onto something else.
As for grocery shopping, I find that if I indulge in something desirable (NT or not so NT lol) RIGHT before going out shopping, then any cravings for impulse convenience foods pretty much disappear and I can shop in peace
For me, I indulge in a few pieces of dark chocolate. Works every time to keep me on track at the grocery store.

i think it is important to make a grocery list, plan out your meals, make a list and stick to it.
