I had to get soemthing for my yeast infection as I could not stand it anymore. I got the Monistat 1 Vaginal Antifungal Day or Night. And now I have a burn from he** down there, I can barely walk. It feels like fire ants. This is a yeast infection. Please help, anyone know what I should do?

Unfortunately, a yeast infection can sometimes leave you very "raw" . I've had the same thing happen. A cold compress applied against your labia can help. A bag of frozen peas works well (though, certainly, put it in a large Ziploc if you intend to use them). I hope you feel better soon.

Try some pure aloe gel (not the kind with alcohol!) I dont *think* there's any plant sugars in aloe to feed the candida. Somebody can correct me if i'm wrong tho,.

Thanks mama, I will keep icing and wait on the aloe unless someone knows for sure. This burning is way worse than the infection, is that how it works for the 1st or 2nd day with the medicine? I hope its gone by tomorrow not the way I want to feel on our Sunday off as a family.:

When I had that happen to me, it was NOT a yeast infection. Felt like one, but it actually required abx to treat. I had the same thing--used a Monistat product at night and the pain was so bad I had to take a pain reliever in order to sleep. If it doesn't ease in a day or so, I'd say go see your midwife (or doc or whatever).

Feel better!

aloe

There is info on the various species of aloe, seems that there isn't much of plant sugars to feed the candida at all.

Good Luck, hope you feel better soon.

That is awful. I totally feel for you I had this happen before as well, and I put some no-flavored yogurt in the freezer until it was almost frozen (but still able to stir it), then put it all over the horribly burning *area* and the pain was gone very soon afterwards. I did this every night so the mess was contained and it had more time to work. Since you already took the monistat, I don't know if you could do this too.

I woke up this morning and the burning is mostly gone, thank god! Man that was awful. I have only had one yeast infection before and last time I did the monistat I had this same problem but I thought I made it worse in my head than I thought it really was. I was nervous taking it but I had to get some type of relief as I did the yogurt for 5 days with no improvement. Thank you all for your posts. Now I just have to hope it goes away for good.

So glad your feeling a bit better!

I had the same problem when I used the three day treatment last summer. It was so bad I was rubbing ice cubes on me. For me, it seemed that the treatment cream was the worst, so after two days I stopped using it. I ended up buying some tea tree oil and mixing some with oil and just rubbing it on every time I went to the bathroom. It took care of it.

FWIW, you might be sensitive to something in the base of the monostat. I'm sensitive allergic to ALL of those things and had that happen every time I used one until an astute gyn figured out the issue! If your skin is sensitive to other chemicals I'd be suspicious of an allergy, etc to the product.

I would get a high quality oregano oil product and take by mouth to kill off yeast in your system.
