is there anything I can do (other than stop making frowny frustrated faces)

Do you suit bangs? They are a great natural solution to forehead wrinkles and happen to be in style at the moment.

Check out the Natural Wrinkle Defense/Anti-Aging Thread .... there's a lot of good ideas there! It sounds like Rose Hip Seed Oil sounds promising!

For what it's worth, I have noticed that my smile lines (I have smiled a lot in my 25 years!) became a lot less noticeable when I switched to stronger moisturizers. For the longest time I've used oily-skin formulas, based on my teenage complexion, and over time I guess I began to need more moisture...it sounds obv but it took me a long time to figure out that I was dehydrating my skin and making it look more aged than it had to be. The rosehip seed oil is great for this, start with a little dab and see what works for you. It makes me took about 15.

I've had this same problem over the years ... I've used the oily-skin formulas too since I get frequent break-outs but also have really dry skin in spots so my skin just wasn't doing what I wanted it to. Can't wait to get my rosehip seed oil! Wow, 15?! I've got some high expectations for the rosehip!

Haha! Kidding...mostly. When I was 15 I was pretty oily, come to think of it...
But I think you will like it if your skin is like mine. It soaks in and doesn't seem to break me out. Which is a nice change for once!!

I'll look for it in the plethora of health food shops.

I have been pretty happy with my pure shea butter though.

Another thought on getting rid of wrinkles ... I purchased some Frownies Patches (I also use the Apple Cider Face Wash and really like it). I've only used them off and on so I can't say that they really work or not but I've heard good things about them. The patches consist of unbleached natural kraft paper with water-activated gum adhesive. I'm not sure how NFL the gum adhesive is?? You apply them to your face over night (or in three hour intervals) and then supposedly they are supposed to reduce the wrinkles on your face. You can buy them for your forehead and between the eyes or for the corners of your eyes and mouth. Here's what the back of the box says:

"Frownies patches are the safe, natural way to dramatically reduce or eliminate expression lines and creases by relaxing and retraining facial muscles while you sleep."

If you're interested I bought them off of drugstore.com. You can also read the reviews on them there. They also have them at our local Whole Foods.

Frownies sound interesting, never heard of them! I thought of something else that could help, too--when I was at L'Occitane recently, they gave me a sample of their Immortelle cream, and it made my skin very happy and seemed to minimize my little lines. However, it's $50.
So I did a little bit of research. The key ingredient in the cream is extract of Immortelle flower, which is known for its anti-aging action. Aka "everlasting", aka Helichrysum. Which they sell at Mountain Rose for $19! I'm thinking I might try to get some and use the Helichrysum oil as moisturizer, in a base of rosehip seed oil for extra benefit. It's like a fun chemistry experiment!

halcyon ~ Spastica also referred to Immortelle oil in one of her posts on the Anti-Aging Thread. Here is a quote from her post: "Some essential oils that help with aging skin is orange, grapefruit, rose oil, tea tree oil, and some expensive, but awesome oil, called 'immortelle.'"

It sounds wonderful! Let me know how your chemistry experiment works! I just made a purchase on MRH and ordered more Jojoba, coconut oil and the rosehip but I may have to make another! Did you find a better way to use the clay?

Oh, great to hear it! Then I'm definitely going to place an MRH order soon so I can play chemist.
I haven't picked up any ACV yet, but I'm planning to tomorrow--I'm optimistic about it and will let you know how it goes! It seems like it would make a good weekly addition to the honey wash. Hmm...maybe I could add honey to it, too!

I agree!! I just placed an order with MRH and want to place another (but I know I'll have to wait a while). I justify the expense with knowing that if I was buying all of the chemical laden anti-aging stuff it would be a lot more expensive. The good thing is that with most of the oils, a little goes a long way!
