My second attempt - take a look

My second attempt at making fitted diapers(turned). These have three flannel layers + a sewn in soaker. I'm using a pattern I got off e-bay. So far so good. I think I'm hooked. My mom's a professional seamstress/quilter and I asked to raid her stash for any flannel and fleece....so I should be set for quite a while. Next I'm going to try one with PUL and FOE and then the chloetoes pattern.

I think it looks great. How does it fit? And what pattern did you use?

They fit great. I picked the size by comparing the pattern size to a fuzzi bunz that fits. I got the pattern from ebay...

It was in a kit that included fabric, elastic and aplix, although these were fabrics I bought myself. The first one I did wasn't bad, but I changed the way I did the elastic a bit on these after researching different ways - I sewed the stretched elastic down with a wide zig zag.

What kind of covers are you using with them? They're cute enough that I would be tempted to not cover them and just change baby as soon as they wet

they seem pretty trim too, have you tried them with a knit cover?

They are very trim - soaker is two flannel layers and two terry (recycled receiving blankets and burp cloths). I'm not using a cover because we EC and want her to feel when she's wet and want to be able to change her as quickly as possible.
