I have dh finally agreeing with me that our nasty sticky basement carpet has to go. We have laminate upstairs and love it, but I'm interested in alternatives for the basement--especially as it can get more chilly and damp down here than the rest of the house. I'm interested in something that takes a lot of abuse, but isn't totally chilly to the touch (tile or painted concrete is definitely out).
