I am just filling my calendar with not-too-difficult stuff to do!

I'm having midwife, chiropractic, and acupuncture appointments each once per week now. Luckily, most of this is covered by insurance, so it doesn't cost me much, but especially the chiro and acupuncture feel pretty indulgent--both make me feel physically and emotionally released/relieved every time. I make sure to schedule these appts for different weekdays.

I'm getting a manicure or pedicure each of the next several weeks, which I normally don't indulge in, but they aren't really too costly, and, again, it is something nice to see on the calendar.

I'm trying to get at least one dinner/lunch out with friends (with or without kids--'cuz I actually like taking DS out with us ) for each upcoming weekend. I planned a dinner out for DH's birthday for the weekend before I'm due as well.

Even scheduling playdates on weekdays with DS's friends whose mommies I enjoy most seems like a good distraction for me, and that doesn't cost anything.

This week I seriously have things going on every day besides today, and I'll probably just run errands. Tomorrow we have a playgroup in the morning and then I have an appt with my midwife in the evening. Wednesday I have a massage in the evening (I have one once a week now) Thursday evening I have a homebirther group. Fridays I go grocery shopping. I'm trying to line up a playdate or two in there this week besides Tuesday, too. The mornings are longest around here, usually we go do something for a few hours, come home and have lunch, then DS goes down for a nap for two hours or so. I never have a hard time filling those two hours. It's my sanity time.

I think next week will be harder. I suppose I ought to start lining things up for next week, too.

Oh, and adding to that cleaning and organizing like a mad woman. But I did so much over the weekend, I don't know what else I could be doing.

I am free from employment now - so all the things that haven't gotten done will get done this week and hopefully part of next week. I am thinking Monday or Tuesday next week would be awesome! My kiddos are still at daycare (and will stay until August).

Today - window shopping for our reno of the house. I live in an old house and only 1 or 2 windows (out of something like 35 windows - small bay windows) open.

Tomorrow - washing machine repair and clean house

Wednesday - dentist, hair (highlights), homebirth seminar (a little late) and a midwife appointment

Thursday - lunch and movie with husband

... afternoon naps, photo albums, picture montages burned to DVD, declutter my closet, finish ALL the laundry, vacuum the dustballs, sort through clothes - I am so excited!

Oh yes - car seat switcheroo to accomdate little one and hospital bag if homebirth doesn't pan out (homebirth is the 'back up' plan depending on the time of day)

I am just starting my nesting.

I went on a date with DH last week-it was so nice to get out and do something and not be thinking of the long to do list at home!

Now I'm just trying to check things off the to do list-not nearly as exciting. But we did go ahead and plan several fun things to do this weekend if there's no baby yet. We're meeting a group of friends on Saturday for a picnic and we're having lunch with another couple on Sunday.

And I'm taking frequent naps! Helps pass the time and makes me feel great!
