As far as i know the insurance coverage is whatever you havecurrently... as in if you have X ins and you are seeing a doc today, they will charge that ins and if that ins changes tomorrow to Z ins they will then bill that insurance. You are not covered by medicaid insurance now so you are free to use whatever provider you would like now but when you get medicaid you might have to switch providers then ( if they do not accept it) Though it seems that your mw accepts it she can honor your current status of insurance (now and then whatever insurance you have later too.
I know that is a very confusing way to explain that but perhaps you could call your Department of Health or the State Insurance info line and ask about the specifics, we have been on all kinds of insurance and I have always been told that it does not matter what your insurance status WILL be it matters what it is NOW.
Hope that all of the nasty ins stuff works out for you soon, i am in the same very worried state, we also had a mc in Nov and I am going in fo r bloodwork today because I am not sick as a dog and the mw is concerned.

I let my mom guilt me into taking the kids to the zoo this morning (a 15 minute walk or so from my house). She was bitching that I don't get the out of the house often enough. So out we went. It was 91. The humidity is high. The zoo is packed with people. The kids whined. I whined. I forgot to eat or drink before I left so I was dizzy and crampy. Then there were the zoo smells. Ugh. Elephant house + morning sickness is not good. Anyway, not doing that again for a while.

We are in Florida. She told me the same thing in Nov of last year, but I'm not exactly sure why. I don't think it is her policy, but the states or something, because of her being a midwife or something. I'm not sure. I know that she has had a lot of problems last year with Medicaid in our state. She had several patients that she provided prenatal care for and started their deliveries, but then had to transfer them to the hospital. In Florida for some reason that meant that she no longer got paid for any of her prenatal services because she didn't deliver the child or whatever. They must have some weird rules. Yes I would be able to pay for the individual visits right now, but probably not in a few months.

I haven't left my house in four or five days. I think you are really brave for trying to go to the zoo. I have done nothing but sit on the couch half sleeping, half making sure my son isn't killing himself. He has never watched this much tv in his life. It is tv all day long now. I feel so bad.

I hope that everything goes well for you at the mw. I never had any morning sickness with the misscarriage and I guess that is suposed to be a red flag, but my cousin had a baby last year and never even had a bit of quesiness. So I guess it just varies from pregnancy to pregnancy. Good luck.

I've finally decided I need to call around for a midwife. There are a few groups of them that are semi nearby. We want a home birth this time, so I should probably start getting my eggs in a line. Wish me luck!

No morning sickness here - just lots of exhaustion. I also didn't have m/s with ds. AND . . . . .

I had an u/s this morning and there is a beautiful little baby with a beautiful little beating heart!!!

I totally understand being worried though. I also had a m/c (no m/s with that one either btw) so I am always worried until I see that beating heart. Just have faith mama - and count yourself lucky that you don't have m/s. The exhaustion is enough - I can't imagine dealing with m/s on top of it. I don't know how those ladies do it.

I am also fighting with ins - hb is covered, no it isn't covered, can't use your mw, oh, ok your mw is ok, but b/u ob is out. well, maybe if they bill it this way it might be covered but no u/s. Let's just hope today's u/s will be covered.

Uhg, I hate insurance crap. Sorry you all are having to deal with that. We lucked out this time as the birthing center we are using is in-network finally. We should be totally covered- with ds2 we had to pay a butt-load out of pocket. (ds1 was a hospital birth)

Well, I seem to have jinxed myself by saying my fatigue and ms were letting up. I feel awful today! Pukey and tired and cranky. And I have a headache just to top it all off. Oh but the real icing on the cake was when I dragged my sick, sorry self and the kids to the store to get some tylenol and ds2 decided to have a tantrum b/c he wanted a ring-pop. *sigh*

Well, they are playing happily now and I treated myself to some yummy, junky mac&cheese. (and a coke my god was I craving a coke!)

Chavaleh, that sounds like a harrowing zoo trip. Just the heat alone would have gotten me. I can barely stand to be outside for more than a few minutes.

The thing that seems to be settling my stomach in the morning these days is....coffee

You know i recently gave up coffee but I could've sworn it helped my ms, too. How weird. Another morning like this one and just may have to start drinking it again. I feel so bad about the caffeine, though.

Oh how lovely! I want a u/s! Sigh...waiting for 11 weeks for a doppler hb. Then one u/s at 20 weeks or so.

I'm relieved here. Minimal m/s--just queasiness, and only in mid-morning/mid-afternoon or when I'm really hungry (like now! oops..). I had terrible m/s with DD and lost 20 pounds in the first half of my pg, so this is a nice change. Utterly exahausted though. And I'm in school full-time this term. And DD is..well, a toddler, and nursing non-stop. And it's hot. And I'm just exhausted.

Our house is in the panhandle in this little town no one has ever heard of. This week I have been in biloxi though where my husband is working. I go back to florida tomorrow. The forecast here has been rain for the past couple of days, but it never rains at the apartment. I think it is because we are on the beach and I have a theory that it doesn't rain on the beach as much as in does inland. I always want it to rain so dh can get off work early. He says it rains on the interstate, but never at the dumps where he works.

I'm finding that peppermint gum is helping my nausea. It's a challenge to find peppermint gum that doesn't have artificial sweeteners, though. Blech.

Morning everyone! I just went shopping with a coworker, to a new consignment shop up the road . . . oh gosh, I can't wait to find out if we're having a boy or girl!!!!! I "assume" it's a girl but don't want to buy stuff until I know. And gosh, there is so much cuteness out there! So I bought books instead Anyone else dying to find out boy/girl??????

We didn't find out the sex with our first two so I don't think we will with this one. I love the surprise after all that hard work

I really torn on finding out if its a boy or girl. We had kindof decided that we didn't want any ultrasounds or dopplers at all, but I'm nervous about how well this baby is, and I want one to ease my mind. I think it would be really exciting to wait until I give birth to find out the sex, but I am one of those people who hate christmas, birthdays, etc. It isn't a suprise if you know you are getting a suprise. It would be a suprise if you had no idea that christmas existed and one morning you woke up with a bunch of presents. That would be suprising. I feel the same way with children.

I think it would be fun to not find out too but the DH really wants to know. He thinks it would be harder to bond with it in the womb if we didn't find out. Since he was already grouchy about having a third I suppose I ought to do all I can to make him feel connected.

We're going to wait to find out this time. I've found that I'm WAY more laid back with this pregnancy than ever before. I love that.

SharonAnne - I'll have to try peppermint gum. I think my nausia is worse this time than with either of the other 2 (though it may have been this bad with my daughter -- it's just been 5 years!). It is seriously kicking me in the butt.

Hi Everyone! My girls are supposed to be resting, and so am I Fixing to get off in just a minute! On the insurance thing we are having to pay it all oOP this time b/c we are not covered for maternity. The baby will be covered after birth, but no labor and delvery, prenatal visits, ect. It's going to cost a little over $5000 according to what I've figured. Some places give you a discount of you are OOP.

This weekend we are going to go and look at some new trucks. We need one of hte crew cabs since we are having a new baby. WE also plan to get me a (used) van in the upcoming months, so we are just going to go and look at all of the options out there right now to narrow it down a bit. THen my cousin's wedding is at 6:30, so we are making a day of it! I can't wait to see all of my family, I have a TON of cousins. The one getting married is one of 7 kids, the closest to my age, and I just love visiting all of them.

I'm thinking SUnday I will wanna sleep all day! Hope you all have a good weekend!

we are back from our camping trip.. im glad to be home. getting up to pee 3 times in the night in the freezing cold and rain to pee outside is notsomuchfun. plus i didnt want to so i was cold most nights because i just stayed in bed a while and thought about it before going
i still feel pretty pukey but less so when i take my b vitamins. im not having many food aversions, but i still cant seem to stomach much and when i do eat i always feel all too full and stuck up inside. im 9 weeks 4 days today! im totally having a dairyqueen hot fudge sunday with nuts craving.
weare moving in 2 weeks or les and have so so much to do. *sigh* and i too would like to sleep all day.

mmmmm I'm eating a cucumber with salt. I'm trying to increase my salt intake a bit, because I've been getting headaches and feeling lightheaded. Someone mentioned here in one of theheadache threads that my headaches could be blood pressure related. And when I put it together with the lightheadedness, duh.

So, I'm trying to get some extra sodium to help my body make all this extra blood. It doesn't hurt that salted cukes are one of my favorite snacky foods
