...about your new sweet baby?


I love Elias' pitiful wimpery cry. He is a very mellow baby : and acts so offended with a big pouty lip, it just isn't convincing at all.

I love the way he grunts when he is hungry. He doesn't cry he just grunts for the boob. If he does cry (because of hunger) then he is REALLY hungry but that has only happened a couple of times and it was because we were in the car on our way home from being out.

I also love the way he just looks around for a while when he wakes up. Ds1 always cried when he woke up (and sometimes still does) but would settle down after I soothed him a bit.

I love how he tucks into me to snuggle. A lot of the time he wants to look around and pushes away from the cuddle...but then he tucks up against my chest and sighs this wee sigh, it's awesome.

Of course, now he's starting to smile and that's pretty freakin awesome too!

I looooove her cheeks!!! So chubby and soft! Oh, and I love her naked little body... In the bath, she's just so content and bobbing along, too freaking cute (we have a Tummy Tub, which she adores!).

And her amazing smile!! Like she's surprised that she's smiling and that I'm smiling back, it's amazing!!!

I just looked up the tummy tub...that is so cool! Do you know if they are sold in the US? How much did it cost? I want one! I hate giving baths in the sink, even with this cushion thing I have, I am soo afraid he will slip down in the water. I bet your baby loves it, how could they not?

I love his smell--even his poop smells good (is that totally weird?)--and the way he yells at the breast before nursing if he feels like it didn't show up soon enough.

I love how Alden calms down when I get anywhere near him when he is upset. I love his smiles and when he's trying to communicate. I also like his heavy, relaxed body when he is sleeping on me. His skin is so fair and so soft and squishy with all his chub. And his hair is so soft. And, and, and!!!

It cost 50$ CAD... I don't know if they sell them in the US though, but I think you can find another brand there...? I love it. I know it won't last long, but she's just so cute in there, just like in the womb, and she loves to stand in it and splash around :

That he sometimes has a huge quick smile before shoving the boob in his mouth. It's like he's saying "This is gonna be GREAT!!!".

I love the way:

Caitlin growls at my breast before nursing - like it needs to be controlled.

She rolls her eyes back very blissfully while nursing - like there is nothing better in the world.

And I love her little baby laughs - I can't help but to laugh back.

I love the way she frantically roots for the boob, as if it's going to get away before she latches on.

I love her little 'sigh' while she's nursing.

I love her smile and now her little almost-laugh.

And honestly, I love that when she's REALLY ticked off, I'm the only one who can comfort her.

The way he keeps his eyes closed and snorts when he "wakes up" at night (the whole time searching for my breast!)

His little grin and beginnings of a laugh

Feeling him snuggled up against me

His tired wimper

Of course his soft hair and skin!

My fav thing is when I feel DS stop sucking and I look down and he's looking up at me and smiling.
