Can't sleep or relax

I can't sleep. I'm too uncomfortable and can't relax enough to rest. I'm sitting here now drinking a little glass of wine to try to relax so I can get to sleep. I'm so afraid I'll wake up pregnant again. Isn't that awful? I'm soooo ready for this to end. I've had cramps and backache off and on all day today but what's new?! I don't know how much more of this "prelabor" I can take. (Sorry ladies. I just needed to vent.):

s! I can't sleep either. I have terrible third tri insomnia, so here I sit at 2AM . Not good when you know you're fixing to get a little bundle that will have you up multiple times during the night for the next, oh, two years (basing it off of dd). So, I guess I'd have to say I haven't slept well in a little over three years...How sad is that!

Oh, the peeing! Does that suck or what? One of the absolutely worst parts of pregnancy for me. I swear I pee every five minutes!

Same here. Every time I finally get comfortable the baby goes to tap on my bladder again! And I think the insomnia is getting worse by the night. The little bit of wine helped last night though. It relaxed me enough to be able to rest some. Now I'm up and cramping again. Man oh man I can't wait for this to end. I just want my little bundle of joy here in my arms! Maybe we'll get lucky soon.

The last few nights I'm sleeping worse and worse. For weeks now I've been waking for an hour or more around 4 AM, and peeing all the time, but sleeping before and after all that- now I've gotten to where I just can't get comfortable! I wake up and everything HURTS- and the other night baby tried hard to kick his way out through my belly button.

I am so cranky I can hardly stand myself, poor dd has been asking if she can go stay with a baby sitter! It would almost be funny if she hadn't spent the entire school year asking me to quit my job! I wish to goodness I had family here to send her to play with- however, my mom will be here on Friday!

At least when the baby comes it'll only be no sleep and not no sleep with aches and pains. I can handle the newborn phase (never bothered me with DD) but the late pregnancy can make you nuts. Add cramps, backaches, contractions, and peeing every 5 min. to not sleeping and it makes for a pretty horrible evening.

I get bouts of insomnia (all the time, not just pg), but I have to say, after every acupuncture visit I have lately, I get a better night's sleep! Also, yesterday I had a chiropractic adjustment, and, unlike the night before, when I woke every two hours plus couldn't get back to sleep after 4 am, I got the best night's sleep I've had in weeks last night.

I think my hips get so out of alignment that the pain keeps me from sleeping.

If you haven't tried it yet, chiro or acupuncture might help you, too.

Unlike some of you, I had a HUGE problem with the early newborn period lack of sleep, so I will literally try ANYTHING to rest up now with this one! (My son was a nightmarish bad sleeper until he was 16+ months old. I was a wreck.)
