I'm not a pro or anything, but I love wheelthrowing! Last semester, we learned how to make cups, bowls, mugs, vases, etc. It was a blast! We even had a wood firing at the end of the semester, and other than it stalling for 3 whole days and causing the firing to be slightly less than mediocre...it was so much fun.

My major is in photography, but my real passion is ceramic art. I took pottery classes while I was getting my BA at Hollins University. There, I had 2 of the best teachers anyone could ask for. We became quite good friends. I miss them and the studio terribly. They gave me a wheel when I left, but I don't really have a studio of my own, so I haven't used it yet. It's been about 9 months since I've touched clay. Hopefully one day I will get my studio.
