I'm going to make some. Basically I'm just making a large square. I'm going to make a couple with PUL backing, a couple with fleece backing, and some normal. I'm planning to make some with flannel, some cotton terry, some with bamboo (terry and possibly interlock). I'm making a variety because I want to get all my sewing done before the baby gets here and I won't know what will work best. For the bamboo, I'm going to use 2-4 layers bamboo, no backing. Flannel I'll use about 4 layers, the middle being plain and the top being a print (prints being more expensive, don't want to make all layers with it) and I'll stick a layer of cotton terry in between the flannel. I'll use PUL or fleece backing for these.
I'm making mine THICK and super absobant because both my boys had reflux (younger MUCH worse than older, hoping that turns around this time) and I want to be prepared. The receiving blankets and even the prefold like burp cloths we used with them just did not cut it, our clothes were forever getting stained/wet.
