Why are birth DVDs/videos so expensive???

I'm teaching my first session of childbirth classes (for teens/young adult clinic patients) and have very little in the way of DVDs/videos. I see a bunch of potentially neat things in catalogs, but they are so expensive. What films do you use in your classes. Any that you consider "must have" and worth the $$$? TIA!

I share with a colleague and reduce the costs that way. I agree they're really really pricey and when I do mine it won't be

I've discovered the same thing as well. My guess is that since most of the videos are privately made and funded, the makers need to cover their costs. Besides, I am sure they do not sell a ton to the general public for entertainment!
