So dh left this morning. Yesterday things seemed to be heating up and i got excited that 'maybe' he would still be here for the birth but it all faded. Still getting sporadic contraction but not enough to keep him home as i know it can go on like this for day/weeks

Then I go to the loo now and guess what- mucus plug starting! 6 hours after dh leaves...

so I am guess baby is not waiting 2 weeks for dad to come back

Well, your mucus plug could regenerate... you never know for sure.
I hope you have others around you to support and help you- I am sorry your dh has to be gone so close to your birth.

Sorry, Sally, that's a serious bummer (or sign of a VERY wicked sense of humor on your baby's part!)

I lost my mucus plug (in one fell swoop) but didn't have dd for another 3+ weeks! So you never know!

I hope everything works out mama...hang in there, we're rooting for you!

okay this is what i need to hear, things have slowed down from yesterday when i had sporadic contractions all day so lets hope ds sense of humour is not too over developed
