Oh, they are easy, just basically squares of fabric.
Decide on what kind of fabric you'll use and what size. I like mine about 6", so I made a template of cardboard slightly bigger (this makes cutting the fabric easier)
Popular fabrics: flannel, velour, sherpa, hemp fleece
Serge the pieces together
If you T&T, just put the right sides together, sew, leave a hole to turn, turn & topstich.
You'll have a whole pile in no time

Thank you! I guess I just thought it should be more complicated than that

I just used one layer of cheap terry (remnants from the fabric store) and cut them to a uniform size (4x6) and serged the edges. I have several wipes from a friend that are double-layer cotton velour and burley terry (?), 6x6, and I find them both too thick and too large. Personal preference. If you don't have a serger, you could do what my sister did and just tightly zig-zagged the edges of some flannel.

I don't like the single ply or just zig zagged edge ones personally. I have a stack like that and they're all fraying. Turn and top stitch 2 ply really works great for me. I have taken my old stained baby clothes and turned them into great soft washcloths. I do 4 1/2 x 7 because it fits better in my wipes warmer, or 8x8 if I'm making them for someone else. The materials I use are very light though, and I think maybe terry would be a bit heavy. Flannel or receiving blanket type materials though seem to work fantastic.

I added a solution of witch hazel, jojaba oil, lavendar and tee tree oil and they are kept et in an old plastic wipe container and don't mildew..plus they are good for rashes.
