My first birth

We had hoped to UC, but things didn't go as planned. Once we got to the hospital we had a lot of interventions, i am just glad i stuck it out at home for as long as i did or i would have been a 'failure to progress' and c-sectioned for sure.
I think that the baby's position had a lot to do with why i didn't progress, and i definitely didn't do a good enough job of keeping up my energy during labour. IN he end, i had a beautiful baby girl, almost 9 lbs, 22" long, ad 21 days overdue.

My entire birth story, and pictures:

Thank you so much for posting! I'm sure you don't remember me, but I am a fellow UCer and I have been waiting to hear how things went for you.

I'm so sorry the hospital was so rough. But I am glad you were able to listen to your intuition when you needed to.

Congratulations on your new baby girl!

I'm sorry they were mean to you too. I know it is almost harder to bear too, when you've tried so hard to avoid it. But you did great! Congratulations on your new baby girl!

Congratz on your little girl. Back labor is really hard. I had something similar with my first (he was sideways and I had pelvic dystocia). I'm sorry you didn't get to have your UC and that you were so mistreated.

I'm so sorry you didn't get the labour and birth that you wanted. I went through something very similar with my first labour (back labour, long labour, long pushing time, not the experience I was expecting and planning for etc etc). The 2nd time though with DS was a breeze, seriously 5 hours start to finish. So just remember if you plan to have more, not all labours and deliveries are alike!

Your pictures are beautiful and Elizabeth is just adorable and perfect!

Congratulations!
