I just posted this in the general dipe section, then realized this forum is here! I'm looking for a great aio pattern, aiming for a trim fit. Quicker drying is a plus, too! Thanks for your suggestions.

Did your post in the general diapering section say you want a pattern that fits below the belly button? If I'm not totally crazy
and that is the case, I'd recommend the Chloe Toes pattern, you can buy it here: http://www.diapercuts.com/store/WsDe...mbs=No&Thumbs=
HTH!

Yes, I did say that below the belly button is ideal. I like the fit of swaddlebees pockets, and I'd really like to get close to that with an aio. Thanks for your great advice. I'm checking these patterns out right now!

I have the very baby AIO and I like it. It is relatively trim. I think as far as drying you can adjust that, the pattern doesn't matter so much. I would look for a pattern that is the shape I want and then research materials that dry faster. I haven't made a whole lot of AIOs so I can't help you much there.

Oh, I totally second the Chloe Toes pattern. It is awesome. I have tried several other patterns and this one fits the best for our kids and also is the fastest to sew up. I can't say enough about the trim, non-saggy fit and I can make a diaper in half an hour, which is great since I don't have that much sewing time.
The pattern calls for foe and snaps, but it's easy to make w/ hook and loop too. And there are mamas on the sewyourowndiapers list who sew them w/o the foe and do turn and topstitch. I happen to like foe b/c it's fast and I love the way it looks, esp w/ the narrow tabs on the CT wings. But it's pretty flexible to try different ways to sew them. The main thing is they fit so well.
It's a little more expensive than some patterns, but there are coops for it from time to time. If you hurry, This End Up coop is closing a round of Chloe Toes patterns today and they are about $12 or 13. There's a pattern for little leather shoes also.

The mamabird pattern is free and it dried extremely fast for me. You leave part of it open. Although, as of late I can't ever access the site because of overloaded data transfer which really sucks because I lost the pattern that I'd saved.

My favorite AIO pattern is the Darling diapers pattern- It just fits really well and trim, and it doesn't leak out the legs. Amber has great customer service too. www.darlingdiapers.com. Oh, and it fits below the belly button on my son.
