I have been having bouts of nausea (which is very unusual for me). I was wondering whether it 'meant' anything or is just a combo of being pregnant, tired and heartburn.
Last night, I even had a blurry spot in one eye (but think it was related to reading too small print, late at night and being tired) - so am simply curious. All is well this morning.
We are both close to our due date ... maybe it is a prepatory thing like the intestinal upset, or maybe nothing at all.

I've been feeling the nausea too. Yesterday afternoon I had to lay on the couch for about 2 hrs because of the nausea. I had that "off" feeling last night too but I woke up this morning still pregnant. I hope it hope be much longer now.

Well, as you know from the weekly thread, yesterday afternoon was...ummmm..."ick" for me in terms of tummy purging. And the whole evening I felt gaggy, and I'm not much better today.
This happened to me last time too...I couldn't keep anything down for about a day before I went into labor, and during labor I had a hard time even keeping fluids down. Which is ironic since my care providers and hospital all encourage mamas to eat and drink and I had all sorts of yummy things available (including Thai soup I had delivered to the hospital!). I just couldn't keep anything down. (my sort of off topic advice here is that IF you have been having trouble keeping things down, and IF you have trouble keeping fluids down during the birth, ask for an IV with some sugar solution sooner rather than later...it can make a huge difference to your energy level and if you're like me an have blood sugar issues anyway it can do a world of good for your mood as well! IVs aren't great, but they have their uses!)
So I certainly think the body knows when things are moving towards birth. If you can come up with some easy to digest, simple, "taste okay both ways" foods...like broth, or yogurt, or smoothie...that might help keep your energy and blood sugar levels even while not stressing your stomache.
Today tred literally two bites of pancake and gagged. So I had a little yogurt smoothie and I'm sipping on tea and nibbling on oyster crackers. I really hope that my appointment today shows SOME progress!
