First and foremost, thank you to everyone who replied with such sincerity and depth of feeling. I did read every response, though I had to take a board break shortly afterward because my emotions were so raw. Still, I appreciated everything all of you had to say and I apologize for not saying so sooner. I also hope that everyone who posted saying that they were in a similar place has been able to find some peace with things as they are.

Second, I wanted to add the update that, after finding out a few months ago that we are VERY unexpectedly pregnant with our third child, we've just been told with 99.9% certainty that our new baby is a boy! I'm a little surprised and nervous, but elated at the same time. And of course there's no question that this little one will be coming home intact, just as his big sisters did.

Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart. I imagine you'll be seeing a lot more of me in the coming months.
Congrats! That's wonderful news!::

people say I have no idea what I'm talking about because I have girls.
I'd remind them that women have a foreskin too and it requires the exact same care and treatment as the male foreskin.

Hey, congrats on your new little boy!

I had wanted to say that I had kind of felt the same way about wanting boys, until I found out that I'm expecting two of them, and then I realized just how much I've always wanted a girl. You're at least going to get the best of both worlds.

I've always had very strong opinions on this issue, but never felt that it was my place to say anything, not having any kids at all. Since I'm having two boys, I guess I now have official licence to sound off on the subject. I'm just coming to realize how minor a matter their foreskins are going to be compared with all the other issues related to raising little boys.

Anyway, I'm just kind of blathering on, but am very, very happy for your good news.

Wow, congratulations!!! I started reading the thread...also realized one of the other posters who had two boys said they didnt' know if they'd have any more kiddos (AND, in their siggy they just had a baby girl earlier this year) LOL.

Kind of neat to see how life changes!

Congratulations on your boy! My third was a boy, honestly I was very anti-circ from when I researched it with my first pregnancy. If someone had pulled the 'oh, you don't have a boy, you don't know' stuff on me I would tell them about all the people I'd talked to, and how my father, his father and so forth were all intact. People need to be reminded sometimes we're maybe only 1-2 generations away from all intact men here in this country.

Oh wow, how exciting! Congratulations a billion times over on your pregnancy - here's to a happy healthy birth and baby!

: for intact children!
