Help! I have ants

We have been overrun with little black ants at my house, and I've come to the end of my rope. I would prefer to use natural products, but so far what I've used hasn't helped. Does anyone have any sure-fire ways to get rid of them? I've heard that mint helps, but there is mint at the base of my house, and the ants go right through it. What has worked for you?

When we first moved in, we had a bad ant problem. I did the sprinkling baking soda on their homes, we did a very deep clean to the whole house and we caulked around any cracks to the outside that we saw them coming in from. It made it a lot better, but didn't get rid of them completely. I finally gave in and let dh put one of those little ant cans outside of the house and that pretty much eliminated the problem. We get an ocasional ant, but before it was an infestation. Good luck!

I used a good amount of borax around the outerr edge of house. then you gotta follow the trail and springkle some where its coming in too. it helps allot - good luck.

I used a diluted vinegar solution to erase as much of their track as I could then put cinnamon where they were most dense. Knock wood, we haven't seen any ants and it's been two months since that treatment.
