Best place for aplix?

Where do you guys buy your aplix? Also, is aplix just another name for hook and loop? TIA

Aplix is a brand name for hook and loop. In diaper making discussions generally refer to Aplix 800, a low peel strenght loop.

Aplix 800 low peel and softer loop makes it great for newborn sizes, not as great for older babies. Once they discover the tabs you may want regular hook and loop.

yes, aplix is just another name for hook and loop tape...it's an 'industrial' brand, i believe.

i actually just use 'regular' velcro brand in a 2-inch width. the reason that WHAMs and the brand CD makers use aplix is because it's guaranteed for something like a million 'pulls'--it lasts longer. but since i use non-malden mills fleece, i figure by the time the regular velcro wears out, i'll probably have stopped using the dipes due to pilling and fiber loss...

i get mine at wazoodle.com - they also stock touchtape (another type of hook and loop).

The Wazoodle site looks great. In the touchtape, what does the FBC stand for? Also, with the hook and loop, for laundry tabs, do you need to buy more hook or loop? And finally 1" or 1.5"?

For laundry tabs, you want more "loop"--the fastening tabs on the wings are made from "hook".
