Hello everyone!
I just wanted to jump in and say hello and introduce myself
I'm Jenny, a SAHM to 3 little darlings. My oldest is Haley, 3 1/2 next month and then I have Ella and Ronin who will be 2 & 1 in July.
I am an AMI certified elementary (lower and upper) teacher and have been working with my trio at home and was so excited to see this forum
In addition to my Montessori studies, I am also a professional student. I have a bachelor's degree in Marine Biology/Environmental Studies a Master's degree in Environmental Science, a PhD in Marine Biology, and I've returned to school just this semester to work on another post-graduate degree in Library Science. I am addicted to knowledge.
I'm not sure yet what our future plans are with the trio in regards to their education. We do have a public Montessori charter school right up the road, so I'd love the kids to attend there, but who knows what will be in the cards when they actually get to school age.
Anyways, wanted to say hello
Looking forward to chatting with you all!

After age 6, we're planning on homeschooling, using a classical approach for the core subjects and "unschooling" for everything else. But the Montessori math curriculum is wonderful, and might make us change our plans. My best friend in junior high was a Montessori grad, and I was amazed by how math she knew, compared to what I'd learned in public school. And it sounded like she had a great time learning it.
