I like the wool sweaters too much.

So I haven't even started making diapers/covers yet, as my machine is in transit but I have been gathering old towels, clothes, etc, and checking thrift stores for wool sweaters, so far I have 3 sweaters, but the prob. is, I like 2 of the sweaters so much I don't want to cut them up! One is perfect for me which I bought for a buck and some change and the other is perfect for dh which I bought for fifty cents. They look new, and were cared for, so I just don't want to cut them up. So how do you cut up clothes you like to make diapers? Or should I just get the not so nice colored wool sweaters to practice on, ones that I won't want to keep for myself or dh? Does anyone else buy sweaters and then keep em for themselves?

If you like them, keep them and find some sweaters you don't like. Thats what I would do.

So far all the wool sweaters I've used have been old ones of mine and hubby's that we accidently felted or that don't fit anymore, so I haven't run into that problem yet . . . I'm sure I will eventually, though. But if you really like them, then keep them! Just go get some more not so cute.

I also vote for keeping them if you like them so much. Maybe next time you buy sweaters, you could buy ones not in your size so you're not tempted.

I have a box of sweaters that dont fit me, yet are too nice for me to cut up either:
