We got:

red potatoes
basil
kale
garlic
leeks
arugula that's too spicy to eat, tastes like straight horseradish (ideas???)
cucumbers (tons of these)
zuchinni

Then, from my mom, I got mini sweet bell peppers in 4 colors, zuchinni, and yellow squash, plus a few beans.

The CSA I'm in is a few miles from my mom, and they have vastly different crops. My mom's greens are all done, and she has peppers and tomatoes. The CSA doesn't have any tomatoes or peppers yet (and we only have 4 more weeks of the season....I'm hoping they come soon)

Arugula idea: Pasta (like farfalle or similar)...heat up a cup of milk or half/half, melt a cup of crumbled blue cheese in it, pour the sauce over the pasta and mix in chopped arugula and halved cherry or grape tomatoes. Black pepper is good on this. Mmmmm

I live very far north so I'm still getting the early stuff:
Spinach
Mixed lettuce
Herbs-basil, thyme, dill, cilantro, tarragon
Peas-sugar and stir-fry
Last week I got strawberries but none today.
My CSA delivers!

You can make an arugula pesto, add arugula, walnuts, olive oil, garlic, some baby spinach leaves and/or parsely if you have it. Blend in blender add to pasta.

-1 large bag broccoli crowns
-3 kohlrabi
-6 ears corn
-a small bag of lettuce
-a bag of beautiful purple potatoes
-help ourselves to large zucchini for breadmaking (I took 3)
-free reign in the herb cutting garden (I got lemon basil, rosemary, apple mint, spearmint, oregano, and chives)

Yummy, yum yum yummy!

oops, this part's a duplicate....

but this is new...I finally figured out how to post pics in my blog, so I have snaps up of my share each week. It's amazing to watch it change as the season unfolds.

Arugula (my fave )
Kale
potatoes
tomatoes (red this week!)
3 cucumbers
1 zuchinni
1 yellow squash
basil

We only have 2 weeks left in the season. I'm a little concerned because we haven't gotten okra yet. And, my CSA isn't great about getting the information out. I would love a little, "hey, the deer ate all the okra" or "the okra will be here next week" or well, anything. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for okra.

We got beets (greens still attached), basil, flowers, salad greens, swiss chard, and about 12 cucumbers

I'm in Western WA and I've been a CSA member for 2 years now : In the summer we eat probably 75% veggies and fruits because there is so much and it is SO good.

This week we got:
potatoes
elephant garlic
zucchini
baby beets w/ greens attached
green beans
yellow onions
2 kohlrabi
1 cucumber
huge heads of lettuce
choice of 2 greens (I chose italian kale as usual- my healthy addiction)
trio of a pint of each: bing cherries, blueberries and raspberries
and 1 dozen eggs (we have an egg share too)

Also we went to a u-pick organic blueberry farm and we've picked about 10lbs of blueberries in the last 2 days. I would have picked more but the season is ending quickly because the berries are falling off the bushes (excessive rain). I may go back again on Saturday if the season holds. I want my freezer absolutely full of blueberries. My kids can eat through them like you wouldn't believe. Our CSA specializes in berries so we will be heading into primetime for berries from them too.

Still no okra. We only have 1 week left, so I'm not hopeful. :

Potatoes
Tomatoes
Kale
Arugula
Cucumbers (only 2 this week! )
Zuchinni
Squash
Garlic
