Help, am I really pregnant?

So, here I am, 10 dpo, and "feeling" pregnant. I know, I know, probably too early to tell, but, I took a pregnancy test anyway, First Response. There was a faint red line. According to my research on the internet, any line, no matter how faint is a positive result.

I'm going to wait a few days and take the test again, first thing in the morning. Hopefully, the line will be a bit darker.

Has anyone experienced this? Anyone ever experience a false positive?

No, I've never had a positive pg test that was false.

I've had ultra faint lines that turned into adorable babies, but false positives are almost impossible.

I had a false positive in April with a digital two hours before AF arrived. The whole batch was recalled (before you panic, this was in the UK. It's the second recall in two months from the same company.) I had a couple of evap lines on ebay dipsticks, too, which got my hopes up.
This month, I got a superfaint line within 10 minutes on a dipstick at 10dpo, posted pics to the one thread and nobody else could see a line. By 12dpo (in the afternoon) the line was still faint but obviously there and very pink- this was a different batch of internet cheapies to the one I got the evap lines with.) 13dpo I tested with three different tests and they all came back positive.
Based on my survey of my many bits of stripy paper, I would say give it four days to get a really strong, blindingly obvious line. But congratulations! You're pregnant!
(to photograph a pregnancy test, you need a camera. Scanners really just don't work, btw.)

I was at 10 dpo when i tested and posted. I'm pretty sure. Likewise with pregnancies 2 and 3. I can remember showing my husband lines so faint that he could hardly see them and saying, "we're a week and a half pregnant." And so it goes. Between the super faint lines and the migraines (i get implantation migraines) it's pretty obvious that I'm pregnant. *lol*

I'm pretty sure I was only 9dpo yesterday and I got a line on a First Response test. A very faint line but it was there. In a few days I plan on running by the $ store and picking up a test just to make 100% sure.

LOL, that's sweet. We had a dark line, and I still ran back and got another test to "make sure". I came up with a lot of impossible reasons I could have had a false positive. Let us know how it goes!

I didn't trust the digital that gave me a "Pregnant" reading at 10dpo, especially since I didn't think digitals were as sensitive as Dollar Tree tests. I used the second digital a few hours later and then got to Dollar Tree as soon as possible to pick up more tests.

After the first one, I really did believe I as pregnant, I just liked to watch the line get darker. At 19dpo I swear the test line is darker than the control line!

Also, I know this is silly, but I felt like it was such a cultural, 21st century thing to "see two pink lines" that I just needed that experience. I'd never seen two pink lines before. ds's test was just a spot that turned pink if you were pregnant and stayed white if yoiu weren't. I don't remember anything about dd's test except for walking up to the cash register with a pregnancy test and a copy of Modern Bride magazine.

My parents still use the phrase "the rabbit died". I guess I'll be annoying my children with "two pink lines" when it becomes an equally quaint and irrelevant saying.

First Response tests are ALWAYS faint. I've actually found that the cheaper brands paint a much more definitive line. I had a faint line like weeks after I missed my period with my son with FRER.

Hmmmm, tough one. The only test I got a BFP on at 10DPO was an aimstick. I did try a store bought one the same day but it was BFN. But I would say if you saw a line within the 10 minute time frame then it was a pos. And no, you can't get false positives (excpect if you are using the medications it lists in the instructions) but yes you can get evap lines.

I would say take a digital. Even with aimstick I was getting very faint lines that made me unsure. But about 2 mornings later I used a digital so there could be no mistake and it read pregnant.

Only time will tell.

Here's an update:

I tested again this morning and got a very dark line!!! I am so thrilled!
