Has anyone else read this? I am just about done. I have some mixed feelings, wondering what others think...

For those who don't know, it's a book that talks about sustainable living, attachment parenting, breastfeeding, homebirth, connecting with the earth and healing. It is not a novel, though it does read like one.

Parts were intensely spiritual and lovely. Other parts confused me a bit. IT is basically a guide to getting back to our roots. It is book one of a series of 7, I think.

Wondering if anyone else has read or is reading it!

here's a description for those who don't like to chase links:

These highly unusual books provide extraordinary insights into dozens of subjects - from natural child rearing to the production of high-energy, healing foods, from the meaning of human life to the amazing potential that awaits every one of us, from ancient megalithic science to the vital importance of breast-feeding, and from sacred sexuality to the hidden history of world religions.

Megre presents Anastasia's deep understanding of Mankind's innate spiritual connection to Nature and provides practical solutions to the problems currently facing humanity. He reveals her brilliant vision for the future of this planet, one full of hope and possibility. Her words of wisdom inspire and uplift in a way that has an immediate and profound impact on the reader.

It doesn't seem to be in stores or libraries, too bad I can't afford a new book right now, it sounds interesting!
I'd love to hear more of your thoughts about it. What were some interesting child rearing or diet insights?

Hmm, hard to explain. IF you go to the site you can read the first chapter for free.

SHe basically says WRT diet that we put WAY too much thought into it. That the Earth has provided for us and we have everything we need at our disposal. We weren't meant to sit down and have meals-we should be eating intuitively, on our own schedules and what's around.

His accounts of her are as they walk through the Taiga she jsut nibbles here and there-nuts, greens and berries. That she never sits for a "full" meal and doesn't therefore lose that time. There's more, but out of context with the rest it sounds confusing.

She talks about kids alot. She says that we should look to them for answers. Because their spirit is some much more pure, what we see as funny little remarks are really wonderful insights. She tells the author that her great grandfather and grandfather frequently asked her questions. Basically that they are sovereigns and that by parenting in this modern way (cribs/strollers and the like) we are turning the sovereigns into slaves. Very Michele Odent, really. She talks about when the best time is to give birth/how to do so etc. It's really fascinating. Hard to remember it's not a novel at points!

Thanks for sharing. It does sound like a great read, hopefully someday I can get a hold of a copy!

I'm bumping your thread here to see if it generates more interest. I want to talk with more people about these books, and find more people who want to create an ecovillage of Kin's Domains!

I notice I'm finding myself leaning towards eating a raw diet - or more of one - since reading the series. I've read through book 7 and am eagerly awaiting my friend to finish book 8 part 1 so I can borrow it from her and read it.

I think I want to go back through the series and re-read and take notes, too.

This year we are planting our garden according to her instructions and I am interested to build a beebox for beekeeping according to her instructions, as well. I just can't remember which book those were in! :

In my search for threads about the books, I also found this one, which interestingly, picks up about a month after the last post in this thread (until now):

Anyone else care to share their opinion of these? Do you think they are a complement to the Continuum Concept?

Interesting question. I'd say not really, because she doesn't ever specifically talk about how she raised her children beyond breastfeeding. Well, she sort of does...but I think she might disagree with the CC - as she had the animals taking care of her babies for long periods while she was absent.

She does speak about transferring information between mother and child while breastfeeding, which is most interesting. I'd love for someone else to chime in and add their thoughts. There HAVe to be more people who have read these books?
