are all Montessori educators female?

I noticed female titles in some of my reading, which made me wonder. I imagine most preschool teachers are female, but I started to get the impression that Montessori teachers are *all* females. Thanks in advance for the info!

Thanks for letting me know. I couldn't imagine gender exclusivity being possible, but I kept running across female titles. Glad to have that clarified.

There was one lonely male in my AMI training... and the school I worked at had one male teacher but he quit after a few years and went into another field.

Also, for a few months I had a male assistant in an IC classroom. He was awesome, but he too left and went back to school for something else.

Definitely not. Our principal is also teacher and he's male. We also have about 1/3 of our staff teachers male.

We have a male Guide and a male Assistant at our school, but all the rest are female.

We have a male lower el teacher, and a male upper el teacher, but the rest are women. And our special eds teacher is male.

My former school has a male principal and my mentor was male also. In fact, he is one of the leaders in Montessori Education having been trained himself my a man who was trained by Maria herself.

At my school and my son's school, all of the M. trained staff are women. In my training, there was one male. In the national conferences I have attended, there have certainly been plenty of males there. They're not prohibited or discouraged or anything, theyr'e just not as common...
