Just curious - so thought it would be fun to see what the stats are in this forum for how many kids.

I have a college student and a pre-preschooler

eta: I would love to have another, we will see what's in store for my life. Basically now I am raising what feels like two "only children that have a sibling" (because of their age difference, did that make sense?). I am so glad it worked out that way though. When I was in my 20's I used to think I wanted them close together, so they would be out of the house within the same decade
;. Now I can't imagine NOT having one at home with me and feel so lucky that I do!

Just one. I would absolutely love to have more, but....in the future. And, hopefully with a supportive partner. Am I dreaming?

I have three, who are 2, 6, & 9. Sometimes I feel so envious of those of you with one. My imagination spins it as simpler and easier. But then I think that, even though I never would have planned to be raising three young children solo, I am certainly grateful to have each individual in my life, and I figure I can make it.

yes they have just started the fighting all the time thing...over EVERYTHING. Everyone always told me i would love having them this close..im not so sure
They are inseperable though, and already best friends, which is nice. (minus the constant fighting)

Oh and just to clarify, i meant im glad i didnt have anymore, because of me and x seperating. I reread that and didnt want anyone to think it was because of the 2 i already have!

I have 2 that are 13 months apart as well and they fight all the time (2nd and 3rd children), my oldest two are 14 months apart and best friends. My twins are 3 years old and also best friends and almost never fight. I love all my kids but sometimes having so many, so close together is very overwhelming. So I do admit to having some thoughts of - this would have been way easier if I had left when I only had 1, 2, or 3 children. Not that I don't love all of them though.

I just have my one and i really think that that is all that i want. She is a hand full to say the least and i couldnt imagine me having another. I feel guilty at times but she has lots of really good friends and tons of play dates! I plan on being a kool-aid mom with out the kool-aid
So i dont think she will feel like she is missing out!

Thank you! I am shocked that this year has gone buy so quick! It's been the ride of a life time!! How are you holding up? So far that is three single mamas of twins on this board that I know of (including me). Feel free to PM me or whatever, it might be nice to exchange survival tips or fun little stories. I don't know... it is good to have support where ever you can find it. I wonder how many more of us there are... maybe I'll start a thread and find out.

Anyway, congratulations on your twin blessings! Aren't twins just amazing! I don't know about you but when I found out it was twins I was so overwhelmed, especially b/c I was already single and had just gotten ok with the idea of being a single mom. But now I can't imagine my life without them! I know it sounds like a halmark card or something, but man...twins. I truly feel blessed! Don't get me wrong it hasn't been easy, but it is getting better!

Are yours playing together yet? Oh man, that fact alone makes up for how hard it was in the beginning!

Oh, I think its still just the two of us (I had to change my user name).

We are all doing great.
It really IS starting to get soooo much easier now that they are playing together (or rather my DS picking up a toy & my DD taking it away, he picks up another & she takes it away, and so on... good thing he doesnt mind too much
) Other times though, they do play together so well. Oh, and they are sooooo protective of each other... its the most adorable thing I've ever seen!!!!

And the way you feel... I couldnt have said it better myself! These two little human beings are the best thing thats ever happened to me!!!!
They are definitely alot of work, but are worth every sleepless night and every ounce of energy

I have four, dd 8, ds 6, ds 4, and dd just turned 3. I sometimes think, too, that I could have saved myself a lot of grey hairs if I'd stopped at 2 or so. But now that they are all a little older, they play together, and now I know what everyone was talking about who said they wished they had their kids close together!
