Laundry Soap Emergency

I forgot to buy Fels Naptha at the store to make more laundry soap. I can't go to the store because Ramona has pinkeye. I have castille soap, borax, and washing soda.

Can someone tell me how to make laundry soap with these things?

If the castile soap is in bar form, I would grind it up and mix it with the borax and washing soda. If it is liquid, put in a 1 oz. scoop of each thing- washing soda, borax, and liquid soap. That should work.

Is the castille soap in a bar or liquid form?

If it's solid, grate it and mix it with 1 cup borax and 1 cup washing soda. You use about 1 to 2 tbps per load of laundry and may want to add 1 tbps of white vinegar to the rinse (optional).

If it's liquid, mix 1 cup of borax with 1 cup of washing soda. Use 1 tbps per load, plus a squirt of castille soap.
