I forgot to mention that. I give my dd a 5 minute warning as to when to roomba's going to clean up, and she scurries and picks up her stuff. I just hope it lasts.

My DH has wanted one for a long time. He borrowed one from a friend, liked it, so we got one as a combo b-day/Father's Day gift. I LOVE it! (a) It inspires my DH to clean up (though thankfully, we are pretty good at keeping stuff off floors in the main rooms, but our playrm is a different story) and (b) it is like a magic fairy that cleans while I do something else. Often that somethinh else is cleaning, but at least it's one less thing to clean.

We got a refurbished one from Amazon, on sale. Hope it lasts!

Our DD was a bit freaked out by the Roomba, so we considered getting a Roomba costume. We could not justify the $, but it sure is funny!

we just got ours and have run it twice so far. i think i'm in love . i think it's just a great little machine for a slob like me. well, i _try_ to keep things under control, but rarely succeed. we can pick up the stuff off the floor and then don't have to spend another 30 or 45 minutes getting the floor clean. we've got dogs and kids and it's just great. even if it doesn't do a perfect job it does a lot better than nuthin' which is what happens around here most days otherwise.

anyway, we don't have a fancy model and it's a refurb, but DH found it for UNDER $100 on buy.com! what's not to love? cheaper than hiring a housekeeper for sure.

I want one too. If nothing else but for the hallways in my house.

But, I think my dog would need some serious therapy if that thing was moving around by itself. She's not all the secure with herself yet.

my dog barked at it a bit and then just ignored it. he's not fazed by too much, although everything deserves barking at least for the first few minutes.
