Does ANYONE know how you get fabric made witha design that YOU designed on it? I have NO idea and now that I am making and selling things I would LOVE to be able to make the fabric more custom than the local fabric store. Any ideas?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

do you mean an allover pattern? I know there are places and people who can print a photograph or picture on fabric for you, but I don't personally know of a place where you can just design your own fabric from scratch.... although i would love to!!

Ilooked into this about a year ago. There is a company in italy that does it. I can't find the bookmark right now. IIRC they had a minimum run of 100 meters (slightly over a 100 yards.)
You can also get rolls of printable fabric that go on wide format printers.

There are many fabric mills that will do custom prints, but the minimums are usually pretty high and there are set-up fees. I'm in Los Angeles, but I'm sure there are some in other cities that do it. You'd want to contact the local Textile Association (here it's TALA)

what about checking with a screen printing company, like ones that do designs/advertizing on T-shirts? don't know if they could do it or if that's what you are looking for but they might be able to help point you in a direction.
