How to choose good quality elastic?

So, I'm working on getting some diapers made, and I'm worried about having poor quality elastic that breaks in my beautiful dipes.

The tricky thing is that I live in China (where lots of stuff is really low-quality) so I can't take brand name recommendations.

Anyone know how to look at elastic and tell if it's going to break and lose strechiness quickly?

If it has a good response to pulling and doesn't seem weak or brittle it's probably good.

I like the swimsuit elastic from http://www.diapershop.com personally. It has a nice soft stretch and works well for me.
