Where do you find the time to post?

I'm trying to keep up with my reading, but can barely manage a few posts a week now it seems!

As of last week I am part time at work, job sharing with another woman, and they haven't hired anyone to replace the one full time position we have lost as a result of both of us going to part time. Plus when they do, we will be spending a significant portion of our time training.

So work is super busy on the days I'm there. And on the days I'm not... well, there's so much to be done around the house and in the yard, and DD requires constant entertainment, so I get all that done during her sporadic naps. Night time is generally time for DH and I to spend 30 minutes of quality time, or for me to read 10 pages of a book before falling asleep (DD goes to bed late - 9:30 usually) and I can usually hold out til 10:30 at the most.

Where do those of you with more than one kid find time to post? Does it get easier in some weird way that I can't fathom right now?

For me, my kids are older and are keeping themselves busy, though my 5 year old has really lost his mama. :

I have been so sick for so long and now I am in the tail end of it and still just so wiped out! I sit with the laptop a significant portion of my day.

Eventually it will slow for me and I will disappear a lot more, but until then I am a slug on the couch, posting away.

uhhhh....I don't have the pt job that you have. lol

I probably should be doing other things most of the time, but this is my "me" time so I give it to myself regardless of whether I should or not.

Well, I have hyperemesis and sit on my #@$ all day... My laptop is my one true friend, right now...

Yeah, what StacieM said.

I don't have a job outside the house, and if the kids are busy playing or napping, I pop on for a few minutes.

I post during breakfast, naps, playtime etc.....sometimes my 1 year old is all over me like now but my girls are upstairs in their playroom.

I don't have kids yet, so there's that, plus I post at work when I'm not supposed to be on the internet.

I also am a full-time SAHM, so no job to keep me busy. I post here and there throughout the day when the kids are busy playing and a lot after they go to bed at night. Also don't have a dh to spend time with right now, so I pretty much just sit on the computer after getting the kids to bed.

Well, like you Edwina, I work pt out of the house...but I'm a big slacker and spend way too much of my day on message boards! Friday is my last day though, and then I'm back to SAHMing, so we'll see how it works out fo me...

MWF I have a little over an hour lunch break and I read and pos tthen plus / or for 20 mins or so after the kids go to bed and I am too exhausted to do anything more active than sit on computer.. use a laptop in family rm so am still interacting with DH , chatting, watching TV or reading, then we switch and he gets the computer.. I realize this precious time is limited! when this one comes.. OH both boys are at school during the day,,

I stay home

Theo has times when he plays alone -- and we have toys all over the computer area.

I e-mail my mom and a couple of freinds, orgizen photos on the computer and do busnies -- while reading and posting......he plays.

When he naps i have set chorse i do -- then i make lunch and sit down at the computer for my time.

on a odd day i might get on line after he goes to bed -- but he has been sooooooooo hard to get down, and i am trying to go to bed sooner myself.

I check in for a minute here or there depending on what DS is doing.

for Christmas i am supposed to get a stripped down basic laptop just for internet and word..... then i can sit int eh lviing room while T plays (or outside, or the basement play room) and also be with DH. now i am on a loft over looking living room -- so i can interact with DH and watch tv with him too.

I'm enjoying this group so much that my new goal is two posts per day! Kinda sad that I have to make a fun thing into sort of an item on my checklist.

Whenever Miriam is awake and sees me heading to the computer she grabs my legs and pushes me away! So no posting when she's awake!

No offense Aimee, but I figured something was up in yesterday's nursing/pg thread.

I try and read a bit and maybe post once or so during the day when I can sneak away for ten minutes while the kids eat or something, but mostly I try and do most of my reading and posting on the laptop while DH and I relax and catch up. My kids go to bed early though (like 7) so I'm lucky in that way. It's tough though, and I do a lot of times feel guilty when I read/post during the day (though it's my only "me" time too!)

I really don't "find" time, I take it. I shouldn't most times, like right now, I should be sewing my stash or trying to get the spare room ready for a friend who's moving in w us for a while. But yet here I sit, typing and lurking away...

Summer vacation means I'm not teaching anymore!

I usually read and post when I have a large chunk of time to myself (rare! see my post count); like when my son is playing at the neighbor's house.
