Anyone else's BM changing? (TMI)

By BM, I mean bowel movements, not breastmilk.

TMI warning below:

All of a sudden my poo is coming out in thin strings. It's spaghetti poo! I've never experienced this before and this is my 11th pregnancy! Does it even have to do with being pregnant? Is it normal or a worrisome symptom?

Yeah, just this morning I was thinking, 'I thought early pregnancy was supposed to cause constipation!'. Mine is just frequent and bordering on the opposite of constipation. Oh well, I'd rather have it that way anyway!

I second that.

Yeah, I do frequent too (and generally purple, due to the beetroot fetish...) I figure it's my body trying to clean out as much crap as possible to leave a healthy environment for baby.

Same thing for me. I wake up with MS and an extraordinary need to release my bowels. With my first pregnancy, I was constipated from the get go. I am not complaining, because this sure beats constipation.

Count me in with the same symptom.

Me too.

Soooo glad to know I'm not alone because I tend to be a pretty big hypochondriac

Same here. Glad that it's normal!

Well, all you mamas with the loose BM , enjoy, cuz it's so fun over here in "hard as a rock" land . So far, just the same as my first pregnancy, despite drinking water like a fish, and eating veggies like a rabbit.

Wow, thanks! It's so reassuring to know I'm not alone.

Sorry Emily

Still TMI...

Since someone else started the TMI BM post, I don't feel too gross adding more:
Now, I am having rock solid time in the morning, but loose in the evening! WTF!?! Such a strange thing sometimes...pregnancy!

Maybe it's from sitting there all night?

I normally have to take an herbal laxative daily or every other day. If I don't, I only have BM's every 3-4 days and I feel really bloated most of the time. (The TMI line has already been crossed, right!?!)

So, my BM's are now daily or twice daily and seem to be what would probably be considered normal. I certainly welcome the change. Having more frequent BM's is much easier to deal with than constipation. Sorry to mommas experiencing that!

No changes yet, thank goodness, but the last time around constipation kicked in pretty hardcore in the second month. It was miserable and I'm hoping to avoid it this time around- stool softener will be my friend for the next 10 months, lol.

I don't remember this with ds1 but instead of m/s I have terriable intestinal cramps and NOT constipation!: I am thinking it is from my intestines starting to move around since they know what they are doing this time around. Does that make any sense?

I wouldn't complain if you can poop. I haven't been in 2 days and I'm feeling pretty full of myself. HA, HA! Sorry, that's the constipation talking.

My poop adventures had been quite frequent and soft for a while there, but they seem to have subsided and are back to normal now. So I guess that was just in the beginning... maybe while my body was getting used to the changes. ? Who knows!

Yeah, so taday I started having super bad cramping and period like feeling but at the same time a kind of gassy feeling. Well, good thing I had finished all my errands for the day cuz I have the worse diarrhea I've ever had! But at least I don't feel so bloated now. I actually thought for a minute that I was losing the baby, I was in that much pain. I feel better now!

My BM is just getting back to normal. For the previous 2 1/2 weeks I was severely constipated. It was awful. Most of the time I wouldn't have a BM for 2 or 3 days in a row. : Now it's kinda the opposite but I am soooo grateful.
