Can I share how much I LOVE my serger?

I LOVE it!!

Yesterday I serged two skirts in under an hour each - that's laying out the pattern, cutting fabric, serging, and all presssing.

I also sewed up two half slips - something I never would have attempted with just my sewing machine.

I hate modeling stuff for online pics, but they're simple gathered skirts with elastic waistlines - nothing that would have taken hours to sew using a regular machine. BUT - with the serger I was able to easily sew up the casing and do my very first blind hem. SO much easier than hand heming, which is what I did in my pre-serger days.

Cool!

Where's the envy smilie? I need some more money and a stronger table and a room to sew in before I can justify getting one!

I received mine on Wednesday and LOVE LOVE LOVE it, too. I made a stack of baby wipes in minutes. It makes sewing SO much faster and the finish looks much, much better. It was worth every penny and more.

Your projects sound cool!

I'm so jealous! I have a cheapy serger that I can never get threaded correctly so it's never really been used. Oh the plans I had for it . . .
Someday I'll invest in a good one.

That's awesome. I still have a ton to learn with mine, but I have dreams like that.
